I don't know, I really don't. I'm torn about the idea of not being able to get anything off the blockchain.
While having a platform for free speech is great, and it has numerous advantages, it also brings (by nature of 'free speech') other problems. I know I haven't shut up about it recently, but the child porn problem I remember from a few months ago is still on my mind.
All it takes is a government organisation or group to find this content on Steemit to start legal action against the site. And we have no way to get rid of it? This does seem pretty flawed to me. Free speech and not being able to remove posts is great, but there are downsides.
Honestly though, I don't view Steemit as a platform for 'free' speech anymore than I do Facebook. I am always careful what I say on both, because both could possibly haunt me forever. If I want free speech, I talk to someone. Whether in person or in a private chat. But I can see the appeal...
