Absolutely, in merely the fact that Steemit - as a platform- can put money in your pocket. The talking heads in governments(corporations) and banks talk "economics" yet their version is warped and twisted. The only way you build a strong economy is for the people IN the economic arena (ie: us) to have money to spend within the arena. Everything else is just whitewash. So by that factor, by using a platform that rewards a person for using it and sharing their energy through it... you are building a stronger economy
