Is The POTUS On Tilt?

I believe most of the things President Trump says and does, can be seen as rational from a ‘persuasion lense’, and he paces and leads a lot which is the main role of a President.

Sentiments drive events.

Some hours ago he released this tweet:

Screen Shot 2018-01-03 at 08.13.27.png

Of course, everybody says that he is just plain crazy and this could increase the odds of a nuclear war.

Because I know that Trump has a very good understanding of the human psyche, and he is certainly not drunk (picture a drunk Hillary and a red button), I will try to look for signs of rationality.

✒No sane person wants a nuclear war. I think we can agree on that.

✒Everybody wants to show strength, and show that they can indeed have the balls (or stupidity) to pull the trigger if necessary.

✒The most genius way is then to make it a kind of silly boyish my dick is bigger than yours persuasion game, with the other part wanting to have the biggest one too, without wanting to do any active moves (no pun intended).

Also, perhaps on a subconscious level he anchors ‘bigger’ to himself. He has already used that very effectively in the past against lil’ Marco (Rubio).

In that perspective, could perhaps Trump’s tweet be a master move after all?

What do you think of Trump's tweet, fellow Steemians?

Thank you for your time and attention. Steem on!

The way Trump has tweeted...I love that sense of tweeting back to Kim Jong. And it is required at times to show people their place.

This was much needed tweet because almost everyday Kim Jong used to provoke America. I am not saying for any nuclear war but if someone provokes then they should get a definite reply.

Thanks for the share. I recently heard a fascinating discussion with "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams on a podcast called Kick Ass News. Adams came out pretty early predicting Trump would win and has maintained his relative support for Trump. Adams did the BEST job I have ever heard someone do in explaining Trump's communication style. He says it is deeply based in tactics of persuasion. Even though I think Trump is literally mentally unfit for the job, his rhetoric can be quite impressive if you allow yourself to get past the hair and the orange and the small hands and all that hahah! Seriously though, instead of continuing to stand on the sidelines and hoot and holler about the bluster I decided to try and gain greater understanding into what Trump is doing underneath it all. I still don't generally like his policies and fear that what undercuts anything seemingly rational is an ego out of control. On the issue of nuclear war, all of it is a sham. The concept of nuclear detente was settled decades ago with Russia and nobody, I mean nobody, wants a nuclear holocaust on their resume. It isn't necessarily because of the death of hundreds of thousands. Nope. It is because the ego of each of these fellas is so extreme they wouldn't allow themselves to die. So in my opinion it's all cancelled out, all of it is bluster and more dirt for the reality show we now call the Trump Presidency. Thanks a bunch for this post.

Nice. Yes, I believe most of the things Trump does looks kind of rational through a persuasion lense.
For me his tweet is more a boyish banter like thing, and not a treat. Scott Adams recently wrote a book call Win Bigly about Trump and the US election. You might find it interesting.

Yup that's the book he was promoting on the podcast. And just so I clarify myself, I actually feel strongly that Trump has an Axis II personality disorder with anti- social and narcissistic tendencies. I spent a decade assessing people's behaviors, psychological and fitness to be a parent. And I dealt with the worst of the worst and have seen a LOT of crazy people. This fella is crazy for sure but in all the selfish ways. Aside from the personality, some of his policies I have a hard time to argue with. Kicking things back onto congress and taking on the establishment was needed in some way; I just never thought it would come to this. I guess the old saying is true, "be careful what you wish for, you might just get it." Unfortunately my wish was granted but the method of getting there I never anticipated. I can only be a witness at this point and do my best to navigate the situation. Thanks for the book recommendation and feedback.

Not sure what to believe in this hall of mirrors.

They're playing Bannon as crazy. I am completely certain the Russian narrative is made up. So if Bannon is claiming that then he's off his rocker. But the reporter is reputed to misquote people to his own benefit.

Exactly what I'm thinking as well. It's "easy" to march your soldiers off to war when you rule in safety from the iron throne of an impregnable castle. Not so much when you face the nuclear bomb. The cognitive dissonance induced by the potential existential crisis will blow the lid off of those plans before any of the nukes have even left their bunkers.

The way I see it, nukes are the primary reason why we're currently fighting the 3rd world war though economic measures instead of outright violent acts.

I think he has some serious issues. A president that acts this way? I think you give him more credit then you should. Or maybe you are absolutely correct and this is a well thought out plan? I doubt it though...

Funny! (But, that cartoon shows exactly my point).

looks like trump has the bigger one :D

Daddy allways has our back.

Seconds after north korea launches one of their primitive missiles (if they can actually fly) it will be taken down by the U.S military. Kim knows that and trump trolls him. When a small child behaves like a pank it needs a good spanking. That's what trump is doing. Politically incorrect? Yes, but we have had enough correctness, it's nice to see something like this for a change ^_^

thanks for resteem and upvote

I agree with @trumpman,
what you rather a leader who would bend over and kiss kim jong un ass after he threatens your country with nuclear bombs? @greenwhell79

a meme is worth a thousands pictures:

Good Post, and great use of the semi-provocative title! Reeled me in.
I think you nailed it, Trump knows how to play the 'game' and is much better at it than any old dirty politician in the U$A... His "master moves" extend far beyond this tweet, for sure.
Good to see that our LSM or 'lame-stream media' is not clouding your judgement outside the U$A ! Follow for you, it seems you are not only an astute observer, but also a Stacker! GO #SSG Go STAX!

Thanks! The MSM in Norway is extremely brain washed. The same so called 'experts' that are not able to predict anything what so ever, are used over and an over. Yes, just started stacking'. Steem and stack on!

Wow, thanks for the too-generous vote!
I have a contest that is about to commence, the players are set already but the voting phase is about to open. We are giving away 5+ ozT in 6 prizes, trying to get new stackers involved :D It's on my blog and will show up in the #steemsilvergold tag really soon!

This is just fun show for trolling masses and bloodthirsty media. Hat down to both Kim and Trump.

This is Ivan Sirko, great man and good cossack who used to practice similar way of international politics :D find about his letter to sultan if you re interested in epic trolling. All this reminds me bit of him.

Sirko looks pretty badass. Gonna read about him!

thats his face from ‚‚Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks", painting by Ilya Ryepin, 1880s.

it represents the very moment of thinking how to answer to Ottoman Sultan threatening "tweet" in 1600s

poetry of insults

@janusface,
This Tweet said everything! He is a genius! This Tweet is better than a nuke shot :D

Cheers~

It's all part of 4D chess, bro.

One of my favorite moves was when he owned Romney.

I could have said, Mitt, drop to you knees, he would have dropped to his knees, it's true :) ...

Yes, 4D chess it is!

I think he has something better in his head than either. And as I understand from his tweet, he has steep strong eggs (Sorry for tauttology) :) Thanks @janusface

Trump's words did not "hint at the prospects of carrying out a preemptive first strike."

Hello @janusface,

Trump knows what he can do, but as a true human he hodl. Extraordinary good review you did about him.

Trump is a leader..... a cheerleader for America. He's a bit of a through back to the sorts of people who were once proud and unashamed to be American. His detractors would call him jingoistic. He sees everything as an opportunity and is seldom satisfied with the existing paradigm. Consequently, he is either loved or hated. He is so different from his immediate predecessors. He is not what the baby-boomers and the gen-Xers were trained to expect from their top executive. TV and TV talking heads have instilled a false image of what a President should be and how he should "act presidential". Our critical thinking skills have been eroded by TV talking heads who are all too willing to tell us what to think. Trump haters just can't reconcile Trump with that false but burned-in image of what a President should be. He's too aggressive, too action oriented and he doesn't accept the status quo in Washington DC. He deliberately rubs the establishment swamp dwellers the wrong way because the swamp dwellers of DC have no incentive to accept any paradigm changes.....they're on the gravy train and want it to continue unabated. That's true of the media elite as well as most politicians in both parties. It's the irresistible force in Trump against the immovable objects in the swamp. Trump will make waves in their pond because it's his nature to insist on change where he sees the possibility for improvement. Naturally, they hate him for it. I ask myself who and what is right. Perhaps the best question to ask is who and what got us to where we are today. Is capitalism all bad as some believe or have free market capitalism and generations of sweat equity brought us to the pinnacle of societal evolution? Personally, the later seems true to me and it was achieved in an era of less government interference. I think Trump senses the same thing and wants to cut through the binding regulations that the swamp dwellers hold so dear. Boy, do they hate him for it.

this is my 1st day on steemit..and your post is very impressive.it talks about a current problem in the world..actually i don't respect most of the politicians..what i want is the world peace..if they are working for that, then i will be really glad :)

Ok. Welcome to Steemit!

really good one!!!!

@janusface - Sir as you said Trump is not drunken & he is not an idiot too... If he was that kind of person at this moment he already launch a nuke attack on NK... He is just get a fun by using NK :) He is a master mind person & we should not underestimate his abilities...

+W+

You forget the ongoing starvation warfare against Yemen.

one of the best
I like your post

Nice post! I follow you!

'Nuclear' is a hoax, like the majority of politics and news. I thought that was a small chance Trump would be different, but - he is already following the same completely dishonest path towards invasion and murder.

hmmmmm...He isn't the one making nuclear threats so what the heck are you talking about ?

you dont really think hes considering nuclear option for real? i dont think he has such power at 1st place. but even if he has, noone will ever push such button.

@janusface... he may be think somthing better ..he took a strong decision about this isuee for permanent solution for it.

Very nice article @janusface

It was perfect tweet and reply from president TRUMP and when I saw this news internet, it feels like a perfect answer by him.

Thank you @janusface...steem on and stay blissful...

I agree with you Trump's decisions are considered ill-conceived and unpopular consequences and the world is a candidate for a nuclear war in this and the duration of his term .
We hope that he will back away from some of his ill-advised decisions . In order to preserve the safety of peoples and the world .

Don't upvote yourself to the top of the comments. It's bad manners.

Thanks for the advice

Okay, Trump supporters... exactly WHEN is he going to start acting "Presidential" and not like a third-string flag football player wearing girls' soccer cleats?

Still your president. And I gave you a small flag because I don't like people upvoting themselves to the top of the comments. Others can decide that for you
