That happened to me a least one time per game before I started paying for ferries when the conditions were bad and at larger landmarks. That was a new thing I started doing, I never paid for them as a kid. I guess as an adult I got more responsible sensibilities, lol. It's kinda like paying for insurance.
Noooooo! Luckily we have antibiotics now. But........ what if you slipped into some weird dimension overnight where you're living out the consequences of your last Oregon Trail game?!! You gotta go back and win! Before you find bears popping out of bushes, wild bison stampeding you and Indians attacking you. Who know's what Jumanji style shit could happen. Good luck and get better!
Lol. If its over 4.5ft you gotta caulk the the wagon and float bro! But I guess even then it's not 100% guaranteed.
No it is not. Somebody always dies on me while crossing a river.
Once, while crossing a river I broke an axle, losing several days, which caused one of my oxen to starve.

I was a cheap kid.....
I still don't buy insurance.
See, now that we've been talking about the game I've contacted dysentery.
I wish i was joking. It seems I've fallen victim to food poisoning. Marshmellow time.

I'm gonna stay away from goddamn rivers!
I just hope it's my last Oregon Trail game and not my last Organ Trail game. I got eaten by zombies in that one.
Sounds fun, yet terrifying if it were real. Glad you're alive!
