Skepticism is the essential mechanism of science. The claim one believes in science is the claim one believes in skepticism, dissent, and resolving differences through debate. It is observable, however, that those most frequently resorting to exhortations to 'trust the science', utterly oppose that skepticism and debate that actually characterizes scientific research.
Such exhortation is in fact complete opposition to science, dogmatism rather than dissent, faith opposing facts, and corrosive conformity. Trusters of 'The Science' are duplicitous disseminaters of deception, rapine reapers of rank rationalizations, and professional promoters of psychological pap produced to prevent political opposition to totalitarian technocratic tyranny.
It is the savaging of civilization, the worst example of barbarian conquest in history, designing to destroy the felicity of humanity so hardly won from the impassive stones of the fields we cultivate with productive skill after centuries, millenia, of careful consideration of empirical results of our labors, solely intent on aggrandizing warlords hell bent on literal deification by a remnant population of GMO slaves subjugated to the whim of overlords, utterly contrary to the principles of sustainable development, to reversing environmental degradation and ecological destruction, and the felicity of our posterity.
The barbarian hordes are led by Machiavellian masters, today as always, and but parrot pronouncements they are incapable of understanding, believing their bread is best buttered by blatant obsequity. We do not need to even dig into the actual research revealing data consequent to climate science to know the political paradigm of AGW (anthropogenic global warming) is a hoax. We have but to consider the means of it's promotion, the censorship of dissent, dissemination of demonstrably false propaganda, and the use of public shaming, cancel culture, and bullying and demonization of anyone that stands in the way of conquest - all of which feature across a suite of issues that promote that totalitarian technocratic tyranny presently being imposed globally.
It is that literal barbarity that demonstrates not only the AGW hoax, but that entire suite of psychological manipulations, are designed not for any benign purpose, but for conquest, plunder, and slavery. Barbarian conquest always produces that result, and there is utterly no possibility the present conquest will be different. Barbarian warlords conquer to aggrandize themselves, and for no other reason.
While skeptical dissent is the essential mechanism of scientific research, which produces civilization, it would be useless absent a foundation of humility, of humbly acknowledging nescience and undertaking science by building it up from first principles. The discarding of disproved hypotheses through skeptical dissent enables constructing ontological structures based on empirical evidence, which are the only means of advancing understanding of reality. Leaving any non-factual part in such ontology cannot further real understanding, but everything proceeding from falsehood can only itself be false.
If you would grasp reality, then this is the basis for understanding you must have. Allowing any unexamined faith or dogma to support your understanding risks causing your conclusions to be completely false. Conceit and hubris of those that dare not challenge their dogma prevent factual understanding. Conceit is the opposite of confidence, and hubris of humility. We are poised on a razor's edge. The mists of time shroud our humble beginnings, and we discover how technological advance began digging up artifacts hidden in the dirt. The evidence we have found reveals millennia of increasing productivity resulting from technological advance, and such history as we can account shows ever increasing wealth and power inuring to overlords parasitizing collective production that mirrors increases in productivity. We find also proof that barbarian conquest destroys civilization, eliminates the prosperity of peoples, and has left Central Asia with a lower population today than it enjoyed a thousand years ago. There are clues that advanced civilizations have utterly collapsed to leave us bereft of their knowledge and technology, perhaps because of deliberate destruction by despots.
We can observe today that collective production no longer can increase productivity, except by providing infrastructure. Rather than the increase of centralization enabling that improvement, it is decentralization that enables bespoke production and elimination of parasitic losses to increase productivity, and it is particularly the elimination of parasitic losses that most increases the benefits of decentralized production to producers - and that eliminates parasites, dependent on those losses for their gains of wealth and power.
The razor's edge we are poised on is between utter enslavement to parasitic psychopaths intent only on their aggrandizement, and eliminating them and retaining wealth by them as produce it. Hell on the one hand, and heaven on the other, we will choose our fate by casting our lot with masters we can but hope will be benevolent, or by ourselves building our economic prosperity, our political felicity, and the blessings of civilization that are the essential foundation of paradise.
Decentralization of the means of production are the cutting edge of technological advance across all fields of industry today. Would be satraps and deified oligarchs can only achieve their desired fortunes by parasitizing collective production, by profiting from the work of slaves. Decentralization is an existential threat to barbarity itself, to the savage whims of overlords and their power to enslave us, eliminating parasitic losses and enabling humanity to enjoy the fruits of their productive labor and the felicity of their prosperous company of free people.
The purpose of censorship, propaganda, war, and deception that we see being committed globally by the corporations and captives of overlords, oligarchs, and barbarian autocrats, is therefore bent on eliminating our ascension, the felicity of our posterity, on preventing paradise and imposing hell on Earth.
You are a soldier at war, whether you know it or not, want to fight or not, mean to be or do not. You either advance the decentralization of wealth and power that will attain it's seminal fruit in perpetual paradise, or you permit parasites to extract your production of wealth, and submit to being their profitable possession. You either advance civilization, reason, and the felicity of humanity, or barbarity, savage oppression, and the penury and grief overlords effect.
You cannot decide what the environment you live or die in is. You can only determine your actions in the environment that exists. Each of us today is faced with this choice: life and prosperity we will make by our own efforts, or death and destruction we will cause by groveling to barbarian overlords. Freedom or slavery, felicity or despair, abundant life or catastrophic genocide.
In fact, you have already chosen. The trajectory of your life has served overlords or humanity. Your life's work pushes our future felicity, or our abject enslavement. You either build and create your wealth - real wealth, not merely financial fiction. Independent means of availing yourself the necessities of life and the blessings of civilization - or serve masters and feed your production to the parasitic blood funnels that engorge them. But you are not cast in stone, and are not unable to change what course you are on. You are free in reality. Whatever decision you make at every moment is yours and yours alone to undertake, and no one nor anything can decide for you what you purpose, mean, and do.
You can be subjected to persuasive argument, as I attempt here, to convince you to act in your own best interests and that of your peers, and even more direct persuasions by torture, threats, and tyranny, but no argument nor even death can impose on you your will and freedom to decide.
You will choose today, tomorrow, and every day of your life what you will create.
Choose life.

That is very apparent when climate is studied by anyone with any competence. Several of the videos posted by @lighteye discuss Milankovitch cycles, and show that insolation is the critical foundation of Earth's climate.
I would rather be in pain, even terminal pain, than chipped.

I don't agree with that, though. How can electricity cause the shape of spacetime? That doesn't even make sense to me. My understanding of Special Relativity is that in the presence of mass spacetime warps. That warping is gravity. Gravity is the shape of spacetime in the presence of mass.

I am aware of the climate fraud, and that we have entered a grand solar minimum which is going to last ~50 years, probably causing at least a mini ice age, and perhaps be the beginning of a new ice age.

Your points are indeed well taken. I consider the Holy Roman Empire to better represent barbarity than Theodoric's Ostrogoths, and Justinian and Theodora of Byzantium yet worse.
The Pax Romana that lingered at the fall of the Western Roman Empire remained a considerably civilizing relic of Rome's Republican history, and Theodoric endeavored while he lived to maintain that peace, extending it for two more decades of relative prosperity.
Representative democracy is neither, IMHO. A mechanism Hive demonstrates all necessary parts of that enables both direct democratic votes, and delegations of authority on specific or general matters, as well as enabling funding of proposals specifically, that thereby prevents budgetary black holes and operations contrary to the interests of funders, is entirely potential to free people today.
Completely voluntary participation in funding and voting is potential of eradicating the vast majority of government abuses. It is something we should do.

It's hard for me to fully understand your wonderful and great sentences, but I want to tell you my thoughts.
The world I live in is already being transformed into a communist economy as it has become a colony of the Chinese economy.
The wealth of the nation's ruling and upper classes had already moved to American banks.
The manufacturing industry collapsed because of the Chinese products, leaving lower-class people like me unemployed.😅
Most of the unemployed people live on unemployment benefits provided by the state.
They don't know about your great ideas and are only interested in solving their current livelihood problems.
Already all means of production were owned by the state and the ruling classes.
So, economically it became communist and politically it became feudal.
If a lower class like me publicly criticizes the ruling class and the upper class, I will face criminal punishment for defamation and insult!
I recommend you act in the environment you are in to secure your needs by your own hands, eschew dependence on UBI, and deliver the benefits of your labor across your community to create goodwill. Inflation cannot steal it. It cannot be taxed, or profit someone against your will. It only expires when people die. Nothing will be more valuable in a crisis than the goodwill of your neighbors.
