I know, I was also seeing the reactions as a little weird, people asking to cancel House Of Cards, what? that is, does anyone care about the victims? Or just want to punish and curse Spacey?
I understand why these episodes of sexual harassment and pedophilia occupy more attention when they are committed by a celebrity, that is, people feel identified with them and receive a lot of attention, but they are criminals overnight.
This shows us that people who commit this type of degenerate crime can pass themselves off as you or me, seem very normal, but in the dark and in their privacy the things they do are not normal at all.
I think the authorities are not doing the right thing to avoid these crimes, I could bet that in Hollywood there are more criminals than actors.
I agree with your point, that people simply need to switch their focus from the punishment of the criminal to finding the real root in this issue.
Of course it is unlucky when the crimes are done by persons that became idols for some, but still we need to keep the focus on the right track.
And yes I agree that there might be happening many bad things in Hollywood, but again they are too rich and important to touch I guess.
After all they are the ones acting in the movies that puts the masses to sleep, so the system and the masses are depending on them.
