In an active shooter situation, it only takes a matter of seconds to turn a gun at someone and shoot them. Cops are going to shoot first, ask questions later. If they don't shoot first, they'll be the ones shot.

Cops are going to shoot first, ask questions later

Ok but let's say it was not the cops, but another armed human being. Can that human being also say: I thought, I shoot first and ask questions later. Do you think he get's away with that.

You can take cover.... ask questions or demands.

It's easy to say things like that until you're in the heat of the moment. You don't have time to think, instinct takes over. You think, you die. Simple as that.

You may not have cover to work with. You may be in the middle of the room. Cops aren't going to have all the information about the situation, all they know is that someone has a gun and they need to neutralize that threat.

Also, your argument about other people shooting first and asking questions later is invalid to the topic at hand. They're not barging into the building to neutralize the threat. I'm talking about what the police see, not what everyone else sees. Please don't try and derail the conversation again.

Yes cops get very scared and handle on their insticts.
