I just don't see how that could work in society in general. Drug use is already banned from any type of job so the only people taking it would be the elderly or the non working class. Drug use is also dangerous when over used. Look at the medical industry, the drugs it produces are abused and lead to a poor quality of life and many overdoses.

Putting people in prison for drug use makes things worse. Even if they aren't legalised, they should at least me decriminalised like they are in Portugal, where they treat addiction as a health issue rather than a crime.

Plus, drugs such as marijuana, magic mushrooms and LSD are safer than alcohol. And from what I've researched, cocaine isn't much worse than alcohol or cigarettes in moderation. So just because some drugs are illegal, doesn't mean they are any better than legal drugs.
