That would be a shame 😂
NFTMart will be Hive's one stop shop for buying, selling, and trading NFTs
DCity is just the opening market. While we aren't setting a vision for NFTs on Hive, we are setting the vision that NFTs on Hive should be easier to use. Easier to create, easier to buy, easier to sell. We are working toward that. DCity is popularly traded and makes sense as the first NFT offering
Having opensea.io for Hive is a good way of expressing what we are doing with this. I fully encourage you to be skeptical and let us know what NFTMart should add next. Really appreciate the feedback!
Nice to meet you - I am more associated with the artists on NFTShowroom.
I know they are trying hard to make that a place for NFTs on HIVE - and it just seemed like it would be easier to have a synergistic marketing / outreach effect, if there was a singular destination for NFTs on HIVE.
But I"m not a dev.
I also think there are too many NFT projects on ETH.
Glad you all are nice, and open to discussion. That's a cool thing to see.
Thanks for commenting, and best to your launch.
NFT Showroom is awesome! We love what they're doing and hope to support it in the future. NFT Showroom is specifically for trading and collecting art. Opensea (and NFTMart as it grows) have NFTs for games and whatever else in addition to art. Much like opensea.io, NFTMart doesn't create the NFTs, make the art showrooms, or design the games. We're just a place to buy and sell these things.
@nachofigx is very happy that you mentioned opensea.io 😄
It is our hope that making things easier will provide exactly the kind of synergy between markets and creators needed to help grow NFTs on Hive. For opensea.io, there is a definition on chain for NFTs that it can utilize. As Hive solutions are either Hive Engine or proprietary, it will take more effort to do and can't be simply done for all NFT types at once. If the super smart guys get NFTs directly on Hive, then we'll have those for sale on NFTMart too :)
As long as you figure out how to sell NFTs minted on NFTShowroom, -- Then you would be like opensea for hive.
