I walked down the road to his house with him holding onto my shoulder to be his guide and it had been years since I had walked there, since I moved in. I had lived there for many years, five years in total. I felt many emotions, nerves, sadness, a little homesickness, but no joy. It was the first house I had, but it was in bad conditions, I had to work a lot to improve it and above all I had a lot of unpleasantness when I lived there. The first two years we had big problems with the water, then my husband went on mission and I had to fix the carpentry and a huge ditch that was on the side of the house and I had to solve everything by myself. That's why I don't have very good memories of that period.

Hi, Daily Blog community! Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you're having a blast after the celebration. Well, I am happy to say that my laptop screen has been fixed, thanks to my husband. My husband is such a handyman. He loves to fix many things as long as he can. We ordered the laptop screen last year in November and it arrived in the second week of December. I was able to bring my laptop to Paris during the Christmas holiday and posted two articles during the week.

A photo of Futomaki rolls caught my eyes. Futomaki is a variety of sushi rolls. I like it and make it both at home and for catering. I have served vegan Sushi rolls at a local market quite for a while. I think mine was good enough and people liked it but ... the cross section of the Sushi in the book is incomparably more beautiful.

Community: Wednesday Walk
Hello friends, it is a pleasure to greet you and share with you my first walk of this new year. Here in Cuba we spent the end of the year with a rather cloudy weather due to the presence of a cold front, but since January 1st the sun welcomed us with a clear blue sky. These first days have been very beautiful and it is very nice to go for a walk in the mornings.Just yesterday, I went out early to buy bread with my sister-in-law Sabrina and on the way back I decided to take a different route, so instead of taking the road to the right, as usual, we went straight ahead.

Best wishes for this new year to all the friends of this delicious #foodiesbeehive community. Today I want to share with you a recipe I made at home to surprise some friends who visited us. It is a delicious pork meatloaf, which I am sure you will love.

My sister-in-law happened to share a concern with me about the sudden approach of her kids school proprietress, who asked for a loan of N100,000 ($84), which was promised to be deducted from the children's tuition fees by January. Not only that, she made my sister-in-law realize she was the last resort and needed the money urgently. My sister-in-law (permit me to call her Esther for the purpose of this conversation) called her husband over the phone, who is my stepbrother, to inform him, and after some back and forth, I pleaded to chip in my take after the phone conversation.

Community: BEER
Excellent evening, beer-loving community! Despite having been here on Hive for a while, I'm new to making posts. However, as soon as I realized that there is a unique community to talk about beer, my interest increased tremendously. I may not be an expert on beers, but I do consume them a lot.... Maybe that will make me a beer expert!

I actually had to spend some time away in order to notice: there is actually a real pretty little neighborhood just next to where I live! Tourists may came from far and wide to see stereotypical colonial buildings between narrow little streets, and if these sites happen to be somewhat famous, they may even crowd out all the locals, except for those who are trying to sell them overpriced souvenirs made in China. Welcome the mass-tourist experience!

Community: Throwback Thursday
A few years ago, two of my best friends emigrated to the United States to start a new life with their parents, leaving many things in our country. We often kept in touch, but due to our busy schedules, we didn't have the same communication as when they were here. One day, out of the blue, they told me to open the door of my house 😂, they had come to Venezuela without telling anyone, and that's when I knew that my vacation was going to be filled with fun.

I thank the Creator for providing us with everything we needed. Most of all, what it means to share this important moment with my children, year after year. Although I regret and it hurts me a lot, the great absences, due to the distance. Now, without further words, let's go with the recipe, not without first telling you that in my family, it was customary that in every reunion, could not miss the sanduchón prepared by my aunt(+). She stood out with her recipe. She made it with different ingredients. Tuna, corn, tartar sauce, cheese, ham, salsa rosada, etc. She taught us to expect, Purita's longed-for Sanduchón. Some say it is of Mexican origin, but I will know when I go to that country and get to try it. Without further ado, let's get started.
