Setting objectives or goals for the year is a habit that the vast majority of us do in order to maintain control or discipline over activities or things necessary to feel that indeed, we have known how to make the most of our time during the 365 days of the year. Personally, I am a person who knows what I want and I tend to be quite demanding with myself to try to accomplish everything. For this year 2022 I had several goals in mind, one of them is to improve my content on Hive. When I started here, I did it singing and I didn't know I could be so good at it. So now I spend a lot of my time rehearsing, improving my vocal technique and so on so I can do it professionally.

Working Wednesday is a compilation of stories from various working environments I've been in. We tend to spend a large portion of our lives working and we can learn a lot from each other's experiences, good and bad alike. This is one of mine.

Seattle, one of the most legendary and important cities in the history of rock music worldwide. It is solely responsible for having been home to bands of a genre that radically changed the planet. Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden are just some of the bands that today, more than 30 years later, we can classify as the "Big Four" of the grunge movement. But they, Soundgarden, stood out from the rest in several ways; the main one being that no band had a voice like Chris Cornell's or the level of sharpness in their lyrics. In addition, they exploited the more psychedelic and mystical aspect of that particular style of alternative rock.

They were both my friends, but they didn't know each other, until one day they coincided in a meeting at my house. They clicked automatically, and left together. He had been married for a long time, and it really seemed strange to me that he would propose something like that.

It was a long anticipated dinner party - nothing fancy actually - just your typical South African braai. Because I have a reputation for delicious and healthy baking we were also invited to bring dessert. We suddenly have a glut of goats milk with the bumper crop of kids born. Our free roaming chickens are also giving us plenty of wonderful eggs. Fresh goats milk. Organic eggs. Equals = Crème Caramel

Coincidentally in the past days I had told myself that I had to do myself a sweetie, and take care of me a little bit. This does not mean going to the hairdresser for example; to fix my hair, but to catch up with various aspects associated with my body and my physical health; that I have unintentionally neglected and accumulated for a long time.

Today I come with a catharsis, but a positive one. I've been doing a study of my emotions, my thoughts and my attitudes over the past few weeks and I realized something... I'm happy! It feels amazing to be content, stable, without having depressive tendencies or anxiety attacks. So I thought, «Why not share what you've done to make yourself happier?» because, after all, maybe someone else could use what I've done. Mind you, I am not saying that these are the keys to happiness, because happiness is a state of mind and it is something that can come from different parts, but by sharing my ways to reach a balanced point in my life, maybe I will achieve a positive change and that would make me even happier.
