RE: Happy Independence Day, Nigeria II, Contributed By @olawalium.

When Nigeria heard of Africa's biggest oil producing country, it seems to me in the first place. Besides, the reputation of the country is for movies and music. But the country is also known to many for corruption. But beyond this knowledge there is a long history of Nigeria's heritage and culture if the people and the government were aware of this country then the country could have been better if it did not use the resources to keep the post behind.

Sort:

Yes, we are known of oil but that is because the government only choose to focus on just oil. Our land is so rich for agriculture and yet nothing is being done to bring about that increment in that area.

Nigeria is known for many things because we are dynamic people, not just music and movies and this is why the government should do everything to put our resources to use, so we can have every citizen become a better person which will drastically reduce the corrupt practices some perpetuate.

If a country is centered on oil only then it is very difficult to move the country. If there is more to it, then if they have to concentrate then they will be able to overcome the different types of heritage, if they think then it is possible to move.

Of course, with total dependence on oil, there would be trouble when the price of oil fluctuates and this is why they should diversify. We have timbers, coals, bitumen, and our land is so rich in Agriculture and yet they focus only on oil. So annoying.
