The Disdain Facebook Has For The Users Is Amazing. We are just cash cows for them...
I honestly never liked Facebook, and I find Facebook dull, boring, tedious, bland, unexciting, tiring… In short, every synonym with not interesting I can find. So, I never used Facebook much.
I logged in today after a while and was shocked by all these ads (there are many more) on my homepage with fraudulent content.
I am just amazed that Facebook thinks I as a user should be served such garbage. For me, Facebook only has slaughter value and deserves a silent death.

It's horrendous, yet I have no problem believing it.
I can understand that it requires a hefty censorship to make way for this kind of crap and nonsense.

Nice. I also deleted my FB account some time ago. It was a tedious process. But, unfortunately I made a new account as I need FB to log into Tinder. Tinder is as must for me for dating in Oslo.
Hopefully, Matchpool or some other blockchain based dating app will make FB as a log in platform irrelevant too.
I agree.. FB is making billions off of the users. Steemit actually gives back to the community

every big company has a peak at which they need to adopt to new times or die a silent death. we all know big names like MySpace or Nokia which heavily failed to do that.
Pretty sure Facebook is working on new things or even already Invested in Bitcoin and Co.

True, they could launch some kind of Facebookcoin, but I guess their platform is not a blockchain and not that suitable for that. Anyway, they are miles away other in the crypto-world and I have a hard time seeing how they could adapt. But my post is mostly satirical, I do not really believe that FB will disappear anytime soon (even though I want to). We all heard about Kodak and how they failed to adapt to new times. I really hope that FB can be made irrelevant. Also, the business model in FB really works. They earn tons of money. So there is still no incentive to them to adapt before it is to late.
It's just a matter of time before we get ads here on Steemit too, right? There's no reason why ad companies wouldn't aim for those platform too, if there's enough potential customers to be reached?
Yes, I think you are right. @fyrstikken & co. is working with an add based system on Steemit. If I have understood correctly the ads will show up after the posts are paid out to the producer, thus they are suppose to ad extra value to the posts. You should probably check out yourself, as I am not updated on the progress of this project. However, I have no reason to suspect a lot of fraudulent ad content on Steemit, as this would surely be reported pretty quickly.
I agree with you, the only reason i curently am using facebook is because i like to keep in touch with some people. And yes i could do it with whatsapp or something but ... . If Steemit would add a personal message section on there blockchain facebook would have been dead allready!
Steemit is love and its forever no doubt about that Facebook truly lacks in creative thought process whereas steemit is way ahead of that
Agreed @blazing! Posts on Steemit seem to be way more creative and innovative than on FB.
i recently read an article where a study was conducted on this that how it impacted users with innovative thinking and more than that the shocking was the Result that came out the instagram had made people more work-less the study say, if i found that article i will share :)

Great post @janusface sir, i also personally dislike facebook it's total waste of time, in steemit i saw really quality content from great author's, so i must say that steemit is No. 1 social media plateform for me.
I also find much better content on Steemit. More intelligent people I suppose!

Never really liked any of the social media platforms (facebook, twitter, etc.). Just got a facebook account in case I need to log in somewhere with it. Btw, don't you have adblock? or doesn't that work for FB?
Perhaps I have. The ads are really not a big problem as I am almost never on FB. It was meant to illustrate how FB uses you. I do not like to feeling that I am the product on a social media site. yes sir steemit destroy the facebook and i dont like facebook now bcz a many waste of time on facebook and many bad behaviour and only non knowledge met on facebook but in steemit all persons are great and have a great knowledge and share each other
