My Story

My story is very simple. In fact my story might have similarities to your own. Doing the same thing over and over without passion like a machine is a special kind of hell. Ever since 2006 my health has not been quite right. From 2011 until current I have been battling cancer. I would not call myself disabled but there are days it is very difficult to navigate daily tasks. As you can see a regular 40 hour a week job is not a good solution. In fact I tried to work for Walmart twice now and it just is not fair to my co-workers or myself.

Nosce Te Ipsum or Know Thyself

Nosce Te Ipsum is Latin for Know Thyself. Understand it is not some new age mumbo jumbo. It is very important to know what you do and do not want to do. For example I do want to be self employed and I do not want to pester people in FaceBook Messenger. The reason I say is well, too many affiliate marketing plans us cold messaging people as their primary free source of traffic. Prepare to get your account suspended. Honestly I have wasted too much money on products and services that may have helped others accomplish their goals but was not a good fit for me.

Bottom Line

If you joined a paid program and are not receiving any benefits (Money, Crypto Currency, Education, Motivation, Advertising, Coaching, Etc...) from that program then aren't you just wasting money and time you could be utilizing on something that you actually benefit from.

30 Days To Decide

When I sign up for a program whether it is free or paid there must be some benefit, otherwise what is the point? If 30 days come and go and I still can't reap some benefit from the program, I give it the Ax. Ask yourself the following questions, and seriously answer them:

  • Is your in box filled with emails that you look forward to receiving or just a bunch of spam?
  • Do you have a home office setup, or do you just whip out the laptop when ever you feel productive?
  • Do you chase after the next "BIG" thing?
  • Are you in business to do business?
  • Are you making any money?
  • What is your ROI(Return On Investment)?

The Wrap Up

If you are happy with where you are at in your digital marketing journey, that is awesome. If you are not, if your answers to the above questions paint an unflattering picture, not to worry. Recognizing something is wrong really is the first step to correcting the wrong. Typically almost anything can be corrected with enough effort. Keep in mind I do not believe in get rich quick anything. I believe that with consistent work anything can be achieved.

Future Blog Posts

Future blog posts will cover what does and does not work. Not just that it works woohoo but why it works. Not just oh boohoo this does not work but why it does not work. Also posts will cover if something will work for a marketer that has no list, small list, or huge list. The goal is to really get into the nitty gritty details of making money online in the simplest manner possible. Thank you so much for reading.

having you on listnerds is very good

A series I'm definitely looking forward to Chris. I wish I'd thought about that 30 day rule when I kept joining TE after TE after TE. I have started sifting out the chaff from worthwhile, but it's a slow process, although it has to be done

Nosce Te Ipsum is Latin for Know Thyself.
I always knew what I wanted but had a hard time allowing myself to embrace it because it wasn't what other people thought I should be doing.
Hence, going to finish college, getting not only a Bachelor's degree (in History) but doubling down and going for a Masters Degree (in Library and Information Science). Had a big girl corporate job. Got fired because I didn't want to supervise people and I hated working in someone else's space and on their schedule.
I was for a very long time a square peg trying to push myself into a round hole to please other people.

Sucks it took so long for me to not only know myself but also accept and embrace who I am and what I like to do. But I did and here I am.

This was a great post. And a timeless message!
