Peculiar that on FB and YT I don't see that many people being picky about quality nor do they fret about posting every day. It seems like on Steemit, all of a sudden there is a need for a brutal daily posting schedule of brilliant stuff, ..why? What is wrong with only posting once/week?

Hello @onnovocks!
You've brought up some highly interesting points. I have a somewhat ridiculous Facebook following and from my understanding, it's part mind games and a bunch of ADHD in the making. My style of posting there is very different—a few times a week, always some cheecky one-liner, or something short and sweet with ZERO context. On Youtube, my favorite Vloggers either do a video everyday or a couple times a week on set days. They don't have to be perfect, just there.
Now there is something I want you to consider. We can't really monetize our own Facebooks, and monetizing our Youtube videos isn't something that comes straight out of the box when we make an account. Another difference is that we can't access every single new video or Facebook user from our own feeds—but we can on Steemit.
I see this site as a sort of "grand battle royale" where content creators compete and unite for a slice of the pie, while building up ideas! When I first came to Steemit, I was posting once a week and that's okay to do. However, if a person's goal is top climb the ladder—being around frequently, mastering a niche, or posting fantastical content are diffferent ways to stand out.
There is no right or wrong way here. Just the way to try to get towards the goals we set for ourselves!
With love,
@shello
