I disagree that you have to work hard. This belief that working hard is what brings about success fails to take luck into consideration. I can imagine an actor who, thanks to being in the right place at the right time, becomes more successful than some other actor who strives much more but does not get a break. I can imagine somebody becoming way more wealthy than somebody else who works their asses off, simply because they inherit a fortune. So, like I said, hard work might lead to success but it does not guarantee it.

In my last, i said it. Only working hard is not the answer. Doing thing right and doing the right thing, 2 different meaning. But, also you can not the value of hardworking.
I agree with the last line of yours. Might have the success or not. But, it will bring you some benefit to the extend.
Hard work always payoff, either the way we want it or another.
