More lifelike than statuesque Scrawly ~ But I'd say searching rather than stoic. Your starting to get those soft edges now where subject meets background as well as keeping the definitions in other areas. Wonderful painting.

Watercolour is such a fluid medium. In some ways unpredictable but the more you do and understand the nature of the unpredictability the more you can make the decisions. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Working with edge in watercolour is still tricky for me, part of it because I get impatient waiting for the paper to dry, a problem that I don't have to face in digital media. Right now I'm still thinking that the good things that happen on paper are accidental beauties than something that I can control with precision. Or maybe this will always be the nature of watercolour art, but of course as you said, the more I know of the medium, the more likely that I can make good things happen.

Thank you Ally ^_^.

Exactly. The more familiar you are with the medium, the more you'll be able to work out (to a certain degree) what you want. Still allowing for the 'happy accidents' and 'being in the flow.'

And the good news is that there ARE solutions for everything, including becoming impatient waiting for your watercolour to dry. Some watercolourists will work on a few paintings at the same time. Some will use a hair dryer. Some will go and have breakfast. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Hehehe you are right and also funny. If I decide to take a break and eat something, I usually take a few hours to return to art. I'm easily distracted, bad habit, I know.
