Hey everyone!
Haven't been able to post much lately, super busy IRL and with some other projects that I'm hoping to be able to announce soon! Have not missed the news of Palnet and their launch of the token and condenser though, nice to see the excitement in Steemians!
So for someone that has not been able to look deeper into it as of yet, only heard bits here and there, what do you think about it so far? Where do you see it in the future, it's usecases and what it may be able to do better than the our native coin?
I'll try getting back to posting soon once I've finalized things, have spent a lot of time lately talking with a wonderful new Steemian that I've met but gonna try and not forget about you guys. ;)
Let me know what you think about Pal and if you want to give me a short TL;DR in the comments about the token for others who may be hearing about this for the first time in this post, I'll boost your comment to the top of the post. Hoping for some nice discussions arising and had to FOMO a bit as well with making that first palnet post. ;)
It simplifies how steemit should work. No confusing BS rewarding system its a easy 50.50 split. You get as much reward for self voting as you do with curating so it makes sense to curate so people come curate your stuff. It can't be gamed since it is even on both sides.
Everyone started at the same point for the most part. Which means everyone had a fair advantage. If you sold your pal for nothing well that is your own fault and the only person to blame now is yourself for the choices you have made.
It is a good community of people that help each other out. Providing information for free, on-boarding people etc.
Being able to be a part of inflation palnet tokens is nice with staking miners on the steem-engine exchange PALMM you can pick one up for about $45
Ongoing development, unlike some places this one has continued active development.
Sinks, there are methods of burning pal and with a limited supply the burning of pal will help increase it's value. There is also I believe 4 times less PAL then steem.
Hey Acidyo,
I like it and part of the reason is the stakeholders are also taking on the role of moderation to a large degree.
I like that they were inclusive with their claimdrop and that some of the distribution issues are making progress.
It isn't perfect, but it is good and it seems many are enjoying it.
I think we still need more community tokens but I am excited about this one.
Do comment votes on palnet reward palcoins?
Yes they do (I think if posted on palnet) but currently without the decimals in place most comments aren't getting enough reward to show in the UI
Yeah the decimals will help a lot. Other thing is that it’s a slightly super linear curve, so giving out a small vote on comments is less proportional rewards (i.e. a 10% vote is worth slightly less than 1/10th of a 100% vote)

Welcome back to the posting world again! #ocd
I'm enjoying PAL so far.
Condenser wise, it doesn't change that much from the Steemit one except that they have a bit more control over the trending pages thanks to a different algorithm and that you can only see post made with the palnet tag, so it might actually be easier to spot good posts.
I also like the fact that you can earn 2 coins at the same time now, Steem and Palnet by just posting from their frontend or just using the palnet tag! Everyone likes earning multiple coins at the same time and I'm pretty sure it is just a small taste of what is to come when SMT releases and they become more massive.
But what I liked the most is how the community overall got pretty excited over it and manage to spin the talks on the chain a bit into the positive side since lately is all HF21 dread lol. Really looking forward for those pal updates and the future of the Steem-engine project overall and I'm happy that its yielding amazing results so far!
Firstly, it is nice to have an interface the same as Steemit :D
It has been a good indicator of how an SMT can have value and be used as an earner while still being on Steem. At the moment it is nice to be able to earn both coins simultaneously but I imagine that in the future with so many various coins doing, that might stop. However, it doesn't really matter as it puts more demand on Steem regardless.
It is also interesting to see who is powering up and who is selling and I think that in time, there will be many familiar faces in the top ranks, albeit less Steem whales.
There is a fair amount of interest in it already and i hope that in time it will also be used as an onboarding interface. With a more even starting distribution, it is now up to the community to step up and actually put their vote where their mouths are and support content, if that is what they think Steem has been missing. I reckon the circles will still form, just at less powered levels for now.
It's nice that it has the same interface as steemit, but the problem I have with PALNet is that you can't see posts that don't have palnet tag on your feed.
Not sure if that is a good feature as right now because of that I always have to come back to steemit to check my feed for the posts without the tag.
That's kind of the point. When you have a smaller community, you want to limit the visible content to better serve the needs of the niche that the community has. These niches are good for discovering new content, not so for keeping up with all the people you already have followed on Steem.

Makes me feel young again and excited for a short amount of time. Get to see a lot of names I’ve not in a while. It’s like a party and you know most of the people there. Everyone is just here for a good time. The water is nice and warm.
New Steemian? I’m a year old already! 🙄
Oh my bad, maybe I misjudged your age when looking at your SP. ;p
That’s because you were a bad curator!
what you mean? I'm not in curie
Jk luv u
<3
I don't see a big difference comparing to steemit. Some people buying, some selling.
It looks like people trust them and that's important.
And they deliver. The only difference is that @aggroed and @yabapmat have a much better reputation than stinc.
I do like it so far. Although it's a very simple set-up. And I don't understand how the upvotes work...Yesterday I posted my second post and when it uploaded, I saw my PAL from my first post go from 15 to zero. Then my new post went to 35 and is now down to 4.5. It's not visible who up/down votes, so not really easy to trace where things happened like that.
Other than that, it's pretty straightforward.
Thanks or the reminder, I'm gonna do the claim drop right away. Looks promising and it is good to earn another coin by posting :)
I'm very buys nowadays, so i haven't been paying much attention to Steemit.
That being said many people are talking positively about it so it is most likely something good :)
I like it and I like their vision and how it is been gradually pursued. Actually people may not see it now but as time goes on, it will be to the moon.
I will say the palnet project has been more less successful with how far they have gone. And with the new implementation of the decimal, this will really be good and goes a long way.
The future is bright for both steem and pal no doubt about that
With the direction PAL is currently heading. PAL will bring more investment into the Steem ecosystem and will have a great boost in price in the coming days. With its pioneer 50/50 curator-author reward share, PAL is an investment opportunity that investors would love to buy into.
Besides, PAL earned by upvotes is not automatically staked to the authors account as obtainable with Steem. This opens us the user to chose the amount of PAL to stake or not. With this , Planet.io will soon become a b=more favourable interface of Steem for authors, being.
Good thoughts @Acidyo
It's a cool concept, so far so good. I like free stuff!
I immediately sold all my PAL for Steem which was great. Now I just add the tag to get more. I dont know if I will stake or sell the additional stuff.

I just found out about this, set up my account and posted- I think it's a winner! I'm actually excited about it :) Glad to see you're involved!
I would like to focus on how Palnet will make a bigger difference with the Steemit.
Resteemed this article. Thank you for posting.
Spending more time there trying to grasp what smts can be. moved most of my steem to alt accounts so i can 'lead' with my current PAL Voting Manna amount. Figure they need a slider for steem vote vs PAL vote. Would like to see what you do.
I am here for the comments to read and know more about pal. It was only mentioned in one post that i read but it wasn't explained and i only have the time now to read more about it. Now, back to reading!
By now I just see it as an extra way to post and I visit to read and answer some posts. At palnet I see other posts first as at steem.
how airdrop get palnet
PalNet means I have to remember the #palnet tag and means I need to use two browsers now, one for the palnet lot and one for the people who haven't realised it's to their benefit to use the tag.
So while this is a little inconvenient (some people never realise that a motorway has been built and use the old slow road for a year before figuring it out), I love it as I love all new developments on the STEEM blockchain.
Let more things happen, I just need to keep up with it all.
Hi @acidyo, this has been the hot topic lately.
I started using the palnet.io last week after its launch. It is quite good in that you can use the palnet tag to get pal upvotes for your steemit posts.
You need to get involved in the minnowsupport community to get better pal upvotes.
Another way is to mine pal coins with PALMM. This has been the hot discussion as people are starting to buy PALMM. The reason is the PAL coins are going up steadily.
So the best way is to get involved in the community and also mine PALMM coins. I just posted about this topic here today regarding mining PALMM
Hope this is helpful,
Rosa
I really like it so far. It feels very simple and easy to use. I like how promotion is being used. Paid promotion get posts on the trending for tags. I look forward to where Palnet goes in the coming months.
I was hoping to pick some PAL up cheaply, and did have the opportunity to buy much cheaper than it is now, but I hesitated, took the advice of others, and didn't trust my intuition.
The past is the past, oh well.
My futuremind prediction for PAL, is that fudders are going to keep dumping, and those who keep their stake locked, are going to be sitting pretty in 6-12 months :)
This is why its good im getting flagged by Bernie. I wouldnt want to get my comment seen and burst everyones bubble. :)
Lol.
All i will say is that:
