*“You’re going to make a difference. A lot of times it won’t be huge, it won’t be visible even. But it will matter just the same.” – James Gordon
It's a new month and as I was meditating at the start of it, I decided on resuming my daily exercises to keep fit as I had slacked a bit in that aspect.
Started 2days ago and right now i can't feel my calf muscles😩. It's become so sore that I groan inwardly each time I try to stand on my feet to go somewhere or do something.
Any step i take right now really hurts. I elevate both legs as against opting for some analgesics as my friend suggested (man, I really hate swallowing pills for something I could almost bear!). Sometimes serial massaging of that area helps too.

It is well known that continuing the exercise the next day (but taking note of warm-ups, doing more stretches and reducing the intensity), would make the pain lessen gradually but I could swear that with the pain I was feeling on both legs, I didn't want to think about jogging or skipping again. My first day comeback already feels like an electric jolt to my muscles.
On the other hand I knew what I set out to benefit from resuming my exercises. I generally needed to feel fly and keep fit each day. So, weighing all of these together, I took off this morning and though still a bit sore, felt much better after the run.

All this made me reflect on what happens as we try to face whatever huge task is in front of us, that we've probably been postponing, scared of what might happen if we decide to face it head on.
Most often, there might be initial setbacks for sure especially those very annoying ones that may tempt us into giving up and pushing it aside till whenever.
