I have spent more than that, but I p only really use the car at weekends since I changed jobs and can use the train. I'd love an electric car, but we shall have to see what we can afford. My little Hyundai has started playing up a bit after over 115k miles

The new electric Mini is cheaper than a petrol Mini. Second hand Leafs are also very affordable. They have an irrationally high depreciation. Just get a Leaf Spy to be sure of the cars state of health.

Not heard of that app before, but looks right up my street. Found a load of Leafs on sale around £9500. Will consider it.
