Win 100 to 10,000 SP Delegation for a Week or More in My Witness Pay-It-Forward Initiative

in #payitforward7 years ago (edited)

That's right, you can win up to 10,000 SP for a week. I'm going on a trip for a week at the end of April. A lucky person might get a huge delegation for that week only.

Source

I will be delegating smaller amounts of 100, 200, 500, and 1000 SP for a week or longer. There is no guarantee you will get any amount of delegation by applying.

Applying

To apply, write up 250 words or more to describe why you should get the delegation. Tell me what you will do with the delegation, what you usually vote for, what topics you like to support, things like that.

You can also nominate someone else and describe why they should get the delegation.

I will be delegating chunks of 100 to 1000 SP for various lengths of time. The 10,000 SP delegation is a possibility if I like what you have to say and what you vote for. I'm not going to bias the applications by telling you what I want to hear ;)

Support and Vote for Me as a Witness

Please consider supporting me as a witness by putting my name -- krnel -- at the bottom of the Witness page and clicking "VOTE". I appreciate the support :)

Good luck to everyone!

Thank you all for applying. Peace.

It will help me support content that I like to read or that ones that are amazing and do not recieve much awareness . I wan to use the delegation to help minnows grow and support their projects . I usually upvote content based on different knowledge being spread and any news stories that I don’t know about

I would gladly appreciate any delegations as this puts me in a better position to support various authors and projects across the platform. However, instead of talking about myself and why I would love to get a chunk of your Steem Power, I'd rather talk about the @asapers and nominate this project.

I am the benefactor of the @asapers and I launched this project in an attempt to pay-it-forward and to support our beloved community and our newcomers.

The official @asapers account sits at about ~400 Steem Power as of now, and our first goal is to reach 500 Steem Power so we can curate in a better way. The @asapers is a manual curation group that shares the rewards from each issue with the featured authors.

That being said, even though this would be a delegation for a limited time, I bet that the extra SP would help us serve the community even better.

Personally, I'm at ~1000 Steem Power right now and I delegate all of that to the @asapers and to the team members. All Steem Power I'm able to generate goes towards this project directly or indirectly by delegating to the official account or to the team members. The spirit, mindset and goal is to spread inspiration, motivation and encouragement across the community, to grow individually and help others to grow simultaneously.

If you'd rather delegate to an individual instead of a project or a team, I'd recommend @insideoutlet, @lynncoyle1 and @mirrors. They would definitely use the extra Steem Power for great things. (All of them are associated with the @asapers.)

In case you'd be interested in others, outside of the @asapers, I'd recommend @davemccoy or any of his projects.

Cheers and thanks for the opportunity!

Same here. @asapers is doing a great job. And I know that @lynncoyle1, @insideoutlet and @mirrors would definitely put that delegation to the best use possible!
Thanks for your generousity, @hitmeasap. It’s people like you and Asher that make SteemIt a better place.

Thank you @simplymike!

Thanks for your generousity, @hitmeasap. It’s people like you and Asher that make SteemIt a better place.

I completely agree :)

It’s people like you and Asher that make SteemIt a better place.

It's a pleasure and I feel honored to be mentioned side by side with someone as awesome as @abh12345. Thank you very much!

You’re welcome. And don’t put yourself down. You belong to be mentioned side by side with Asher. You both put the community before your personal gains, which is very admirable.

I of course, am voting for @asapers as well! @hitmeasap has been so generous delegating to me (as @abh12345 has also!), and he selflessly promotes the group and it's ideal of paying it forward. He always wants to give more, but has to wait to earn it because he's already given away everything he has. This man, in my humble opinion, certainly deserves your delegation @krnel and he will use your generosity to do more great things for this platform!

i agree!!!! @insideoutlet - all the way!!! :) give her community the BOOST it needs :)
not just the 10,000 delegation while you're on vacation...

she would be a prime candidate for some of those smaller 1,000 delegations when you return as well!!!! :)

Love your confidence in me. 😁💜😁

yesssss you so deserve it!!! I hope you get it!!!!

@krnel I "third" the motion for @asapers and then individuals that @hitmeasap mentioned (excluding myself)... They are a valuable resource for a group of newbies and minnows as they pay attention with both upvotes and mentions in their daily articles. I have found that many of our #newbieresteemday people automatically transition also to @asapers as soon as they "graduate" and feel no longer like a newbie. Its a great organization that is just building, so any notice to them is definitely appreciated!

If possible, longer term support of even smaller amounts is even better as they could use your position within the platform as a way to get some credibility and access to the bigger steemians! :)

I gave a newbie nickel to this post because I think it deserves to be seen to maximize its exposure to @krnel

Congratulations, this newbie nickel is sponsored by #newbieresteemday this week!

#newbieresteemday always recommends our sponsors!

Voting this one up as I appreciate @hitmeasap and @asapers

Thank you Asher! :)

Hmmm. How did i miss this romance! Much obliged @hitmeasap, for the recommendation. Truth to say, barring the limited SP, @asapers could certainly accomplish much.

Dear @krnel,

I would like to nominate @brisby. She is a fellow Freewriter I met when @mariannewest started the daily Freewrite prompt over 176 days ago.

The Freewrite community has grown into a loving, happy place and now has their own Blog @freewritehouse.

With the growth of any community, it needs people to help it grow. This is where @Brisby comes in. She helps organize all the other helpers to make the Freewrite community the place to be. She delivers prompts, helps organize the other prompt delivery helpers by making spreadsheets, answering any questions they might have and all in all be the wonderful giving person she is. She keeps things running as smooth as she can. She is always there to jump in to help in any way she can.

She reads all freewrite stories (@brisby says she doesn't read all........so let's compromise and say she reads 90% of ALL the Freewriter stories), comments on all Freewrite posts. Making the Freewrite community the place to be for new Steemians.

She is not at 500 SP yet. She votes as much as she can on all the post she reads. The Freewrite Community is filled with a lot of new red fish Steemians. Somedays @brisby is the only one to stop and vote on their story but sometimes, many times that one vote and comment gives a person hope and they write again and again. In the end, they too become a driving force in the Steemit community all because of comments @brisby has left.

This might sound a bit too good to be true but I assure you it is not. If not for @brisby and people like her I would have never stayed on Steemit. When you are new here sometimes all it takes is that one person to show you encouragement which in turns gives you hope that in time you might get your posts read and make something of yourself here on Steemit.

Thank you for listening and I hope you do consider @brisby. You would be helping more people by delegating to her then you could ever imagine.

~@snook revised 1:31 pm CST to hit the 250-word requirement.....

I couldn't agree with this nomination more. @brisby routinely uses up too much of her voting power because she wants to support everyone. Nobody offers more encouragement to the freewrite community than she does and she never expects anything in return. This is a lovely gesture @snook! And good luck @brisby!

Thank you, Omra! You have brought such a smile to my face (especially since I've not followed someones advice about watching my voting power...)! 💜👊 And thank you again, for setting up the @Steemkeepers page and all of the support that you've given to the Freewrite Community!

Snook, thank you! (You had me blushing brighter than warning beacon reading what you wrote!) You are an absolute sweetheart for nominating me for the delegation when there are many who do so much within our group! 😘 Thank you for saying so many wonderful things and for being you! 🤗 From the start, you've been one of the driving forces in showing your love for the group!

I agree wholeheartedly about our Freewriting Community being filled with fantastic and giving people and now we're able to come together even more to support each other and anyone who just wants to come in and have some fun in the @Freewritehouse!

hehehehe poor @brisby you just proved why you would get the delegation for all to see. You went through each comment and pointed out what everyone else does and never said a thing about yourself.

Like how much time you spend making sure everyone feels wanted and needed and not forgotten, so much so that you don't always have time to write your own posts which is why you are not at 500 SP yet. Again another selfless act you do without thinking or caring about yourself.

Yes, it does take a Villiage and we have all done as you have said in your comments but sometimes @brisby it's time for great things to maybe happen to you too. That would be up to @krnel to decide though.

As you always do you think of others and never yourself. So do me a big favor and think of it as a lottery ticket and let yourself dream for a night on all the good you would do if you even got a 500 delegation to use for a week. How happy you could make all the people you come into to contact with.

You work full time and are a Mom of 2 beautiful girls and are always giving. Let someone try and give you a gift and try and not feel guilty about it, please.

It's okay for good things to happen to you too.

Love You my wonderful , sweet, always thinking of others, beautiful friend!

You've turned me into a puddle of thankful goo here, Snook! Love you, seriously. Hugs!!!

Love You!

@brisby is a hard working curator and encourager who spends a lot of time trying to make Steemit the kind of community that we all want for it to be. If I were going away for a while and was looking for a community minded person to use my SP to help fellow Steemians and work to improve the image Of Steemit and build lifetime relationships, then I could find no better or more deserving choice than @brisby.

Thank you, Deacon! The level of respect in what you wrote means so much to me! 💙 I'm grateful to have found a friend like you here! You've been there all along as well, commenting and supporting so many writers as they join the group so, another huge thanks to you!!

Yes! Excellent idea, @snook! @brisby brings so much happiness, positivity and encouragement to the freewriting community (a group of people racking their brains and bringing awesome, original content to Steemit) <3 She really deserves such a delegation, I've seen few people on here who work as hard as @brisby!

Honeydue, thank you! You've been so terrific in helping out the freewriting community with the time you take to make deliveries and your comments! I truly appreciate how much time this takes and am so grateful to be able to work with you! 🤗 You're right, our group is awesome!

Owwww @brisby, you're too sweet! <3 I feel grateful, too, to be welcomed into such a lovely family!

YES! @brisby has the kind of genuine, encouracing comments and interactions that make me feel appreciated and "Heard" through my posts. It is truly awesome. I've also seen her comments on others and know that she looks for ways to encourage everyone on a regular basis!

Thank you, Byn! You're making me get all sappy here... You are a hardworking badass lady who deserves so much good in this life! Thank you for how much you've supported the freewriters as well, with encouragements, prompt deliveries, your @Freewritehouse Favorites posts, and more. And your comments? You have been there for so many when they need an understanding reader. You've not been one to shy away from uncomfortable themes and your responses are so real and true to who you are!💓

brisby is fantastic and cares so much about everyone she comes in contact with. So deserving!!!

This from the woman who I'm CERTAIN doesn't sleep. 😁 Thank you so much, Marianne! Your daily exercise has grown into this wonderful group and the HUGE amount of effort that you've put into, I'm just going to say EVERYTHING in the freewrite here, is immeasurable! 💗

I also want to nominate @brisby for this delegation. She tirelessly curates, votes and comments on her fellow Steemian's posts. She always leaves a thoughtful comment and brings encouragement wherever she lands.

Brisby lends a lot of her time to the freewrite group by assisting with the organization and execution of the new freewritehouse page and the whole Steemit community benefits as new writers are encouraged by her comments, votes and support.

Janelle, thank you! You've done so much in supporting the Freewriters that I can't properly list all of it! You nominated @mariannewest for a delegation so that she could pass it on to all of the struggling writers, you give fantastic advice and commentary to what others have written (encouraging people to add more to their stories and to keep on writing), you've helped so many with sharing your struggles and triumphs, writing for the Freewrite House, and more. It took all of us together to come as far as we have and YOU have always been one of the backbones in our community! 💝

@brisby your sweet comment touches my heart deeply. I love this community we have all worked as a team to build. I saw how far reaching @mariannewest vision could be and it is! There is so much talent and selflessness within the freewriters. I am truly humbled by your support, thank you. hugs!

Wonderful idea, @snook, @brisby is that type of person that actually cares for the community, someone who can be trusted to do something good with some added SP!

You know, I just realized that I never told you how much I like your avatar! I am touched to have your trust Marie-Jay! Thank you for donating your time to helping encourage everyone in our freewriting community! 💕

Hello @krnel. This was something that I was actively searching for a while now.

As a child, I grew up listening to stories. Stories my grandparent told me, fairy tales that my parents told me before putting me to bed. These stories built my world. They let me dream. They let me grow up with a strong creative mind which is so imaginative that I sometimes get lost in the tales playing out in my mind.

Stories defined me. They made the person I am today. Made me realize of the magic in it, the evil that is prevalent around you, the heroes that live amongst us and tales of friendship and love.

Years later, nothing makes my heart flutter more than holding a book in my hand that promises me a world that I can enter but with no want of return.

Kids needs to hear stories, teens have to dream of the stories and we, adults have to live out the stories that are our life.

I see a lot of fiction in here on Steemit, that I enjoy, I drool over but these posts, they haven't received any due that they deserve.

Gems. Of the priceless type.

Yet, payout at the end of the seven day period ends up being in cents. Most of these users ends up leaving the site after few months of these.

I always thought, I'd accumulate enough SP a day to make a difference, that I'd sit down and spend hours to curate such posts. But after some calculations I realized that it might take forever if I had to wait it out that way.

Your hard earned SP will be touching someone's life, motivating them to work harder, motivating them to work better and send out top class reading material onto this block chain. All these unrecognized people now have a reason to write better.
You are creating an author who might tomorrow end up winning a top literature award, just because you helped develop their writing skill.
I want to help my fellow writers. I want to make fiction a cozy place here on Steemit.

I follow you and agreed with you. I am a fiction writer, and is tought to find support. Thanks for your clever thinking.

Keep at it. Keep dreaming. Write even more :)

I try, but you know that you do not always have inspiration. Sometimes, like in these last days, the muse goes on vacation.

Maybe a good time for you too to go on a vacation so that there is no time being wasted :P

Thank you for providing an opportunity for others to benefit from your investment in Steemit. This will certainly provide a significant improvement to many different Steemians in the area of post rewards. I am sincerely hopeful that you are able to find an individual or community that will maximize your gift.

I would like to suggest/nominate @qurator and the Qurator Project in general as a fitting recipient of your generosity. The organization has worked tirelessly to help plebeian Steemians mature and develop their content, network, and accounts on the Steem blockchain. I have certainly benefitted from not only their support of my posts (which I believe are quite good), but also from their support on technical questions, best available resources, tips & tricks in formatting, etc.

Recently, the Qurator Project has had to change some of their membership criteria because of sagging Steem values and low returns on its members' upvote support. They have responded gallantly with infusions of steem from their top members to maintain equilibrium, but have exhausted their options. As a result, many of the most fragile and inexperienced Steemians that would like to join this community will not be able to afford to do so.

I believe that your gift may be able to help stem the tide and create a better transition for these vulnerable bloggers that want to participate in the Qurator Project. I would like to add that I will not personally benefit in any way should you choose to allocate some SP to @qurator at least not financially. I am a member and a true believer in their community because unlike many of these "developmental community groups", the Qurator Project actually gets results for aspiring minnows.

Thanks in advance for your attention and I wish you a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Hopefully, you will return refreshed and re-energized for your Steemit related pursuits and others. All the best.

Thank you so much for nominating us @energyaddict22

When we saw the comment we immediately brainstormed how we could use the extra SP. With some extra Steem Power we will direct some larger upvotes to the minnows who really need it. All those who have 100SP or less. We have about 1300 members and we know a lot of them are minnows that could use the extra help.

Great initiative @krnel seems like you just got another witness vote. We love seeing steemians selflessly helping each other out. =)

What an awesome idea @energyaddict22!! It would certainly help their current situation, wouldn't it?! And they totally deserve it!

I think it might be a timely solution for them and YES, they definitely deserve it. Thanks for your support Lynne.

You are very welcome!

hey @krnel, cool idea!! here's my entry. Thanks!

And this one too :)

awww thanks @abh12345 :D! <3

My pleasure and good luck! :D

Well done guys! :D

We want some!

We will use it to support dissent.
Especially the dissent of the socially unskilled.

Dissent gets a raw deal on this platform.
Its either kiss ass or suck hind tit.
@curie, the rotten bastards, comes right out and declares their censorship.
'No controversial content will be approved.'

Well, f them bastards!
We are controversial and proud!

@skeptic has persevered, he is deserving, too.
Though it may chap the whale we dont name's ass a little.

As many of the groups that I think would do great things with the award have been nominated I am going pitch my Pay It Forward Curation Contest as a worthy entry. This contest is designed to allow others to feature 3 bloggers who are equal or smaller in reputation score then themselves in a curation post. This post becomes the entry into the contest.

Currently my vote is relatively small, but on each entry I am giving a 15% upvote on the comment that is made on the Contest page, a 10-20% upvote to the actual entry, plus upvoting all of those that were featured in the entry at 10-35% based on merit and voting power available.

At the same time at least 2 others are also helping with this process of rewarding those featured in the curation posts. Big thanks to @lynncoyle1 & @energyaddict22 for their efforts.

So while I am tossing my hate in the ring it's not for myself, but purely for the benefit of those who are taking the time to curate and then those who were curated.

By having any level of support the contest would be able to better reward the smaller steemians out there who are producing great content, but don't have the visibility to earn many rewards. By helping reward newer members we will help create a lasting and thriving community of bloggers here on Steemit which in the end helps us all.

Here are my voting numbers just to give an idea:
Voting CSI [ NA ] ( 11.94 % self, 399 upvotes, 132 accounts, last 7d )

As you can see I spread my votes around to many accounts and most are smaller then my own. I tend to run between 9-12% for self upvote, but would make sure to keep that number lower during the week of delegation only upvoting my 4 or so posts for the week and nothing more.

If you have any questions feel free to message me on discord, same name # 6765.

Either way thank you for thinking of others and I'm sure whomever is granted the opportunity to put your SP to work in your absence will do a great job.

With 123 comments at day two, I think you are going to be a super busy Steemian reading through all the applicants, Especially since I can see some who may have exceeded the 250 limit. For this reason and the fact that why should anyone repeat themselves when they know they have been heard I will only link you back to my original answer on your post; A Witness Pay It Forward Initiative and highlight:

  • Any long-term delegations would be appreciated and used well by the @asapers who's main motto is to give back A.S.A.P
  • The 10,000 for a week! OMG wouldn't that surprise some followers.
  • That one upvote is worth more than many of their final post payouts.

Do you know what an upvote like that could do for many of them? I do, it can make the difference between posting again and giving up on Steemit altogether.

Thanks for taking the time to read through all of these, I don't envy the decisions you need to make but will keep my fingers crossed all the same. :)

I also still stand by the names below for delegations as they all rock this steemit world and make my world a little more interesting.

@lynncolye1
@simplymike
@shai-hulud (disclaimer he is my hubby 😉)
@davemcoy
@hitmeasap (our benefactor, did you know he delegates 100% of his personal SP to @asapers or fellow undervalued steemians.)

And add: @mirrors @imaginedragon & @dreemsteem to my list :)

That was incredibly kind of you @insideoutlet to add me to your list!!!! :) but i would love for YOU and the @asapers team to be blessed with this boost!!!! and I hope you get the long-term delegation!!!

Lol, @insideoutlet, you made me go all the way up to check
If I had read the instructions wrong. But I didn’t...

write up 250 words or more ...

I was afraid I had to go shorten my application :0)

I would be just as happy if @asapers would receive a delegation. You are doing such a great job...

Haha sorry to stress you @simplymike. So basically there is no word count. Love it! 😂 I sped read it and missed the more. Still he has a heap to read through. Thanks fir helping the @asapers out. I caught up with the post promo first time ever today. Excited!

I agree that he will probably spend quite some time reading - lol

Ive been here long enough to have a list of undervalued authors that have persisted despite not being rewarded by the high value accounts.
I never manually vote a post with more than $2.
My autovoter votes at 15 minutes and rarely do the posts go over a few dollars.
I rarely selfvote, and when i do its usually to give curation rewards to folks that voted my comment but registered .02 or less on the ui.
If chosen, i will use it to raise the rep of the undervalued accounts i am associated with.
If not chosen, thats fine, too.
Its not like giving back the delegation will change what i do.
Id prefer it went to @freebornsociety as that account is my autovoter and has the list of undervalued accounts.
@deliberator is deserving, too, and far less antisocial.

I believe we ran into each other a few days ago :-) I like your little application here. I guess my limit is a bit higher than yours, I like to help some great writers get up to $20 or more on their posts but 90% of my vp probably go to users who make less than $5 per post. I usaully have a max of 30% upvotes on large accounts while small accounts will have a min. of 30% upvotes unless I'm low on VP.

Mind sharing some of those undervalued users with me? I will go check out your other account now.

Feel free, steemd keeps a list.
I have to keep my votes in the low 20's to keep my vote power from tanking.
That list has close to 200 names on it, but most of them have gone silent.
The votes that end in 5 or 0 are autovotes.

it's a really good idea to make this delegation when you know you'll be traveling! When I read the publication I thought I deserve a delegation I have worked hard here to achieve it, however when I see the previous comments I really am very short, there are so many brilliant people here that maybe I still have a lot to learn, however I am on the right track...
I joined steemit in August 2017 and it wasn't until December that I began to understand and share content that I discovered the true benefits of this platform:
Great content
Various topics
Incredible people who are willing to help.
Funny contests
A lot of people trying to understand the idea
Friends -Friends

Lately I don't share content, I read and read a lot of posts that I find interesting and comment on most of them because it's a great way to say your content reached my heart... I feel that with a small or big delegation I can support many Spanish-speaking people who have very little support on this platform and I assure you that they are people giving their best in this network, I always support creativity and originality, so if selected, I am sure your sp will be well used, I wish you the best of luck and a happy evening.
Sorry if there are errors in this comment, I'm using translator

Great thing to do, I am not participating, I would probably up vote my own posts and also I usually up vote randomly, I mean I do sometimes read the posts I up vote but then I get bored and just up vote anything based on the title.

I can't honestly think of a single reason that would make me any more deserving than anyone else. I would use the added VP to upvote posts that embrace the truth and uncover corruption... pretty much what I do now. As far as the witness vote goes, I did a long long time ago.

This is a great thing you're doing @krnel. I hope you're able to find someone who you feel meets whatever criteria you might have to delegate your SP to for a week.

I am not applying, (so no need to consider me), but I would rather add my voice to Asher's (abh12345) regarding his league members. Anyone of them would be well worth the look, as you can see by their engagement last week.

Thanks for doing this.

I’m not very good at selling myself, and normally I would skip a post like this, but today I thought I’d give it a go anyway.

To be honest, it is frustration that drives me to write this comments. Frustration about not being able to reward people for the efforts they are putting in to keep others safe.

But let me start at the beginning. A little over a month ago, I was one of the first victims of the ongoing series of phishing scams. It was my own fault: I didn’t educate myself enough to use this platform responsibly. Thanks to the effort of a whole lot of people, I managed to get my account and reputation back.
Ever since, I’ve been following up on the phishing scam, and I’m trying to raise awareness.
Since there seems to be no way to stop the scammers from stealing people’s money, I’m trying to educate people on how they can protect their accounts and stay safe. I’ve written a couple of guides that have already been buried in the dungeons of SteemIt, where all posts go after they’ve reached post-payout, but I’m trying to keep them alive by linking to them over and over again. I actively go out and search for victims and show them how to minimize the damage.

But my reach is limited. Having only 700 followers, I can’t really make a huge difference. So 5 days ago, I came up with an idea for a contest: I asked people to write their own post about the phishing scam and to tell their followers which protection measures they can take to stay safe. This way, the message would reach far more people than just my 700 followers. I promised to reward the best three with a prize. I’m paying the prize money from my own pocket - 20SBD is a lot for a minnow like me. But I think spreading the message is more important than the money.

Now, I’ve got quite some people who took the time and made the effort to write a post. And, except for the best three, all I can reward them with is a vote of max $0.14 - if I’m able to vote at 100%, which is like seldom, since it is as @abh12345 states in his comment, I am spreading my upvotes to 200 different authors every week.

I could give them a bigger reward if I would have kept my SP to myself, but I’m delegating most of it to the @newbieresteemday and @asapers initiatives, which both exist to help newcomers find their way here. I also delegate a small amount of SP to 5 newcomers, just to get them out of the bandwidth error zone.

In 2 days, the contest to raise awareness will end. But I’m not giving up. I will keep on taking initiatives to make sure the message keeps reaching more and more people.

It would be great if I could reward the people that are helping me do this with a little more than my tiny upvote, even if it is only for a week.

A delegation would allow me to both reward those people, and keep on doing what I do every day: help and motivate promising newcomers to find their way on the platform, and to encourage them not to give up, in spite of all the negatives. I like to think that generousity and a helping hand go a long way, and that a whole new generation of Steemians with the right mindset can grow on this platform, and maybe prevent it from going down because of its flaws.

I invite you to follow up on @abh12345’s comment and check out the people he nominated. Every single one of them is devoting his time here to make sure SteemIt has a future. They honestly care about the platform, they’re dedicated and think high of engagement.
Maybe they deserve it even more than I do, because I have a lot more SP than they have, mainly because I started on here with a different account, made the switch and I am now delegating the SP I earned with that account to myself.
At least I have an upvote worth $0.14, so I don’t think I have anything to complain about - lol

Good fun. Just introducing myself to you, if you would give me some delegation that would be awesome, if not I'm sure it'll go to other users who need it more.

I try to focus my time on writing essays, fiction and songs but I also care a lot about community and try to support it as much as I can at steemit. Since a lot of communities focus on different ways to entice users to join through contests and other rewards, I thought it'd be nice to have a chat just for making friends and thus the Be Awesome discord was born. I've also started the Deadpost Initiative, a contest that hopes to find readers and payouts for undervalued "dead" posts and the tag #steemitzombies which is trying to encourage high standard reposts of undervalued material and their curation. I've also invited my followers to use the tag #nobidbot in order to encourage curation of posts that have not used any bid bots.

I'd love some delegation to be able to upvote the best of these posts with a higher VP as well as the users who are working towards building this community. I follow people who care about making things better and aren't too evangelical about how to do it but like to bring people together or inspire them to be the best versions of themselves. I also follow decent people who are trying to get paid for doing what they love and won't make compromises even if it means getting paid less.

Now that I make over $2 on almost all my posts I don't self upvote unless it's about one of the initiatives I'm working on.

Hi @krnel : This is @dexterdev. I am an electronics engineer turned research student who specializes in computational biology. I found steemit by searching Google extensively to see if there exists some community like stackexchange, but powered by blockchain. And I started using steemit as a platform to write science articles. I am a proud member of #steemstem science community. I value original and quality articles. One thing which disappoints me here is the fact that we have lot of noise in terms of content which are either plagiarised or which has no value at all. The amount of spam is also really high. So communities like #steemstem is an expection and I imagine such communities originate more in other topics too. If you delegate me your SP it will help to power #steemstem trail voting which appreciates original and quality content creators in STEM. As a person who believes the true value of STEEM is tethered with the quality of content generated in this medium, it would do good to delegate SP to me 😄. If you want me to nominate someone, I would suggest @sathyasankar. I am nominating him, because he shares the value in a user I mentioned above. Thank you. 🖖

10,000 in SP for a week... I believe I could earn ~25 STEEM by upvoting my own stuff :-)

I'm a member of the steemit's fledgling sports betting community and I would like to nominate a guy without whom you wouldn't be reading this: @costanza.

He lives up to his motto:

Supporting the Sports Betting Community on Steemit

If he didn't reach out to me as I've got my account and started posting tips, I'd give up after a few days, but he did and it's been 75 days since then that I haven't missed a day posting here on steemit.

If you aren't some kind of a moral prude and categorically oppose the sports betting, delegate those 10k SP to him. Our community will notice it, I can assure you of that. Take a peek at what he's doing.

Have fun on your trip!

Hi There! You have just been upvoted by @justinadams Witness. You will always recieve a free upvote on every post you make on steemit as long as you keep your witness vote. Thanks For Your Support.

Hi,
I have spent exactly 44 days on steemit and have a 54 reputation. In that time, i have posted 939 times. I don't know how the calculation is done, but i think two-thirds of my posts are comments. I won't say I've been lucky.
They are really great contents here, and i love reading, upvoting with my meager upvote and commenting.
I also make sure to post quality contents always. I am a writer of fiction and science. For fiction, i highlight life stories reflecting situations in my country Nigeria and the African continent. For entertainment, i write romance and fantasy.
One of my posts discussed the effect of capital punishment in schools on children. I concluded by suggesting perhaps the alternative methods of disciplining children might be best. My latest post explains the high rate of suicide among students in Nigeria and Africa as they are pressured to succeed by their parents.
I studied Physiology, so I have really enjoyed researching and writing for steemstem. Their high standards and the caliber of authors there is a challenge and an encouragement to me to improve the quality of my posts.
I wouldn't lie, i self-upvote my posts. Not the comments, but the posts. I post once a day on average at other times, i just read and upvote great contents on steemit. I enjoy the engagement with the authors and appreciating their excellent work. A little commendation i know boosts the spirit.
Thank you for this initiative.

For his deadpost initiative I'm nominating @whatamidoing. Never seen such on steemit

Thank you very much.
God bless you.
before its i want to tell. In my area there are many newcomers in steemit. But no curator has a big SP. We live in an inland village. To work to meet the needs of eating. We just rely on the results of gardening. I also share my knowledge about finding additional income in steemit. And finally they join in steemit. Secar we know that in steemit one way to earn income must post some articles to get VoTe from others. But on average we are newcomers in steemit. It is rare to lyric the same steemit people who have a big SP.
And we've made some good articles to get votes. But the result is no one vote more than $ 1. My friends are almost desperate. But. I continue to encourage them to stay in steemit. I taught them. That to get results. We must fight to survive. We do not have much money to invest in steemit.
I can only give to them the spirit. If to give Vote. It seems impossible. Because I only have 54 SP. If @krnel would like to delegate some SP for my account. Let me help my new friends join in steemit.
Even though it's only one week. We have some SP delegates. For us It is precious.
Thanks a lot @krnel
Hope you are happy to help grow our account.
I have supported you as a steam witness
()

For me to get SP delagation is very important for the development of Community I coached in East Aceh. We have been joining the Steemit Community of Indonesia Chapter East Aceh, if I get deliberation from you I can petrify vote to the friends in our community. and if you give SP to me I will use it to develop steemit community in my area. You're the best person I found. Salam from Indonesia. Thanks @krnel

Wow, Really it is a good opportunity.

Nice initiative @krnel atleast making sure your sp is get propeely utilised...wish everyone can think same way to make the community more beautiful👍

Me ! me! me! lol.
I think I would be a good recipient of your delegation (very nice idea, btw)

Why?
Because I always vote with integrity, I have no interest in using vote bots in any strategy, and all my voting is done after reading many posts...

Subjects generally covered philosophy, politics, economics, and any good quality content that really attracts my attention.
I spend a lot of time searching through different profiles.

(Why do I feel like I'm filling out a job application? - I hate that)

Oh, and I don't suck up, which is why I'm stopping now...
😂

I would like to use your support from the SP delegation to support my family who are starting in steemit without success since to start on this platform is very difficult without the help of someone, normally I only interact with few people at the moment, I like psychology and the philosophy I would support these publications and I would support you as always, as I have always liked your publications and the support you have always given me.

I do not know who to recommend sincerely, I do not mention any of my family, since they are starting and they do not know Steemit very well I will slowly teach him all his functions. @krnel is the one who interacts the most and does not advise it because he is delegating lol

I wanted to talk to you about discord something about the delegations if you want to communicate with me this is my discord # 3132 joelgonz1982

Hello @krnel,

Firstly why I will appreciate a delegation from you is that, I am someone who loves to support minnowers. As minnowers when you make a post, even if it is a quality post, it does not get upvoted easily and this can be very frustrating.

Some minnowers have left the platform because their post was been ignored and this is not good for the platform because the more the users the more the value of steem.

So because of this I like to support minnowers with my vote, so that they can stay for the community and thereby increasing the value of steem.

Secondly, has you asked, the kind of people I like to upvote are things about life generally. For example I like to upvote post about health, sports, positive crypto news, truth and morality something like what you like to post about.

Thirdly, I nominate @seyiodus for your delegation giveaway because she runs a delegation service where she use it to upvote quality post and I think your delegation will help her curation better.
Thank you @krnel, I hope that my wish for your delegation with be granted.

Dude.. great initiative.. while I would selflessly use it to upvote myself or waste it on NSFW content I have a friend who would be ever so appreciative and a much better curator... @phoenixwren... avid member of the #ophumanangels and #walkwithme tags... does so much to support and encourage others.. aspiring homesteader ... check out the awesome garden... cat lover... who doesn't love cats... also helping picking up other people's litter (a pet peeve of mine) ... I'm not counting words here but go check out his page... if he's not worthy of a delegation I'll let you take me out back and hit me in the head with a ball peen hammer. Thank @hustleking for that quote... peace out. Dave

It will help me to support tags that i love to read and also support the tags that have quality content but do not get more attention . Some minnows feel discourage to create new topics because they don't get much attention from fellow steemians so I will use the delegation to help minnows grow and thereby inspiring them to continue posting/creating quality contents.. When minnows are motivated to post it improves the whole steemit community.. I usually vote for for any content as long as it is a quality and important content to me and the whole steemit community. Thanks

Wow. This is amazing and thank you so much @krnel for doing this payitforward delegation to help and support this community.
Amazing. Resteemed since everyone should see this.
Have a wonderful trip.

Well, it seems like a good idea.

It will be nice, support the people.

Wonderful post ..thanks for sharing...Best of luck friend ✫

I will be quick about it. I will structure my motivational words as you make questions.

Tell me what you will do with the delegation

Honestly, I am on Stemmit to make some money too. But I have some unique knowledge and points of view on politics, that others may use to their cause. The only way to improve the intelligence after 3 years old was considered to be hearing the opinions of others. This was before the discovery of neurogenesis, which takes me quickly to the meat of the answer.

I am fan of naturopathic medicine and read great books about it. My goal is to spread knowledge of it. There are many stories of how it helped people, who were left helpless by the conventional medicine.

At the present moment, I write mostoftenly about politics and question the popular beliefs presented by media. I don't tell people what to think, but where to look by giving questions media can't answer. Or don't want to, at least.

Third most frequented topic on my profile are probably articles dedicated to Czech community on Stemmit. Last of my articles were translated into English though. I expect myself to write 3 in the week at most.

Tell me what you usually vote for

I've been testing some tools like Steem Engine recently. But I would not offer my power to go to waste this way. So if I am given the power, I will only vote for what I do manually and it includes various articles from #politics and #health. I avoid these popular articles available on dozens of pages like '11 Benefits of Eating Avocados'. Scientific view and some deeper knowledge interests me instead.

Tell me what topics you like to support

Apart from what I vote for, I support investing into cryptocurrencies and #cesky tag for the Czech community. If I see an original article about future development of cryptocurrencies, there is a decent likelyhood I will resteem. It must be really insightful and truly original, surprising me with information it is loaded with.

Tell me things like that.

More power means more responsibility for me. I can't provide a list of my future articles as I also have a lot of work to school now before an important exam, but politics will be main topic on my profile. Nutrition and one article about paranormal come second at my head at this very moment.

Have a nice trip @kernel!

This is very generous of you @kernel and I would like to apply mainly because of the #fruitsandveggiesmonday Contest I am hosting weekly. Besides PRIZES that are sponsored by our generous sponsors, I also upvote and resteem all valid entries. Unfortunately, my vote power is very low and I would love to be able to give more if possible. Most of the contestants are new Steemians and they need all the help they can get. If you would like to find out more, please READ HERE

In addition to that, this contest promotes helath through many education entries whether they share information about nutritional value, healing properties, all types of fruits and veggies around the world and recipes.

Thank you so much for this opportunity and have a wonderful trip.

Dear @krnel. I'm blown by your selfless act. Giving back to the community that has helped you is the best thing you can do to help many enjoy great benefits on here.

I joined over two months ago when i saw a friend's transaction and how positive he has become.

I would like to get the SP to support my community. I have seen great posts go unattended to. I'd love to touch every post worthy of a quality upvote.

Also, a friend of mine, @yinkus just joined and he is a graduate. He'd love to be delegated some steem power too. This would make him stay more around.

This is a great initiative. Whether I get it or not, I'm inspired by the humanitarian act.

Hey @kernel, that is a wonderful initiative, thank you so much for your intentions and for this opportunity.

I read a lot of STEM related posts and always try to leave thoughful feedback. I always use 100% of my VP to vote on any post I like or consider quality material, regardless if it's steemstem related or not. I always use 100% of my VP to upvote all comments made to my post and/or replies received by other Steemians to any of my comments. My responses are typically the size of this comment (well, maybe a little shorter).

I always curate and support all those who have been supporting me, but I also like to visit new members' blogs and drop a couple upvotes as well, followed by words of encouragement. I've been around for more than a year now and I know how hard it can be for anyone to get noticed in the early beginnings as I've been there.

My upvotes are still not that significant as my SP is still below 500, however I do realize that even an upvote of 0,05$ could make someone cheer up a bit (or maybe not, at least I try :P). I'm looking for hidden gems on the Steem blockchain and give them my full support even if these are not STEM related posts. I've spotted many undervalued writers and fully supported by upvoting and resteeming their work as I share their passion for writing as well; I do write fictional stories when aunt inspiration gives me a call.

To be honest with you I realize I've been blessed with much support from many people and I don't even know if I deserve all this positivity coming my way. That's why I always to try to help everyone as much as possible and wish I could help even more. I wish my upvotes were worth more so that I could reward substantially those who deserve it.

Thank you for this initiative once again, you definitely deserve a witness vote for this.

Stay awesome!

It is kind of you to be offering your delegation while you are away, thank you! Hopefully, you have a great trip without any travel frustrations. :) Good luck to all of those who wish to win the SP!

Hello and thank you for the opportunity to even receive this delegation. Right now, I am up to bat for two very important community initiatives in which I know would be great recipients of the delegations. Please read along.

@greetersguild is a human greeter based initiative founded just a couple of months ago, which utilize compassion, humanitarianism, education and support to find new Steemit users and help them grow on the platform. We provide this service as a charity, in hopes of preventing new users from abandoning the platform. We also help newbies learn how to grow exponentially both personally and professionally. At the end of the day, we provide a key service for all communities on here, by scouting talent, helping folks find their niche and even preventing the amount of "dead" accounts from being high as it usually is. Through our various works, we have molded many a great person and shown them the way on their journey.

@breakingthecycle is an initiative I just launched and am still building which offers support and education for addictions and recovery, as well as life struggles, from anger management to general depression. I personally also have a youth outreach program implemented withing the initiative. We are offering weekly group meetings on our Discord server, aiming at helping provide 24/7 support to those in need and bridging the gaps people often have with going out and attending in person meetings. We utilize voice chat and various other means to hold group and private sessions, helping people grown and break the cycle from their bondage. To date, we have had a significant impact on several people's lives, helping them make healthy and positive decisions in their life, which carries well beyond Steemit. This initiative will be publicized outside of Steemit and Steemit will become a portal for people wishing to utilize what we have to offer, pulling new users into the platform with a purpose. We also have well educated and degree carrying volunteers working with us.

Please consider delegations to both of those groups, as they will use the delegations to provide support to various projects and individuals on the Steemit blockchain. I myself as well, I would utilize a delegation to promote positive growth all across the blockchain, from new talented Steemians to community groups helping shape a better future for Steemit in general. Thank you for your time and consideration @krnel! I hope to hear from you and sincerely hope you will support our community initiatives!

Peace @krnel

My name is Omi and I'm new here. Although my account is a year old, I've only been active on Steemit about a month. My first month here was both awesome and discouraging. I won 2 Curie awards and their Author Spotlight, as well as, a few other honorable recognitions. On the downside, I struggle with participating at my would-be pace, because I run out of votes. I like to upvote the posts I leave comments on and reward my readers. Early on a few weeks back, I ran out of bandwidth and couldn't even login. I invested $100 into my account when the price of Steem was almost $4. At the internal market value during the dip, I bottomed out. Some friends bailed me out by delegating to me and I won a contest that will soon expire, then I'm back to about 60SP. I just want to keep Steeming.

I'm a former musician who gave up the road and my job after having 2 kids diagnosed with Autism. I'm trying to learn to blog. Steemit is helping me improve my writing skills through immersion. I write about my life, my thoughts, I have contests for minnows, and take photos of my neighborhood. I'm sure what I do is not as admirable or impressive as others here— many of whom would probably use your delegation better. I feel I should get the delegation so I can Power Up to a more secure level, grow my presence on Steemit, and broaden my activities here.

The first thing I would do if I received a delegation is delegate some of my own SP to @steemitkids. Steemitkids is a second account I started to curate Kid Friendly content for my children to interact with via an RSS feed to Wordpress. I've been teaching them about crypto, although Steemit has a 13+ requirement. My kids are 6 and 8. We're waiting for SMTs so we can possibly set up a kids coin. At present, the Stemmitkids account has 3SP and 5 delegated from my account. I would add another 30 at least so I can set up the page to follow some curation trails and have a header, post some initatives and goals, so its not a dead page. I also have a second project @wordsteem which I hope to grow in the Summer to experiment with various applications of integrating Steem with Wordpress. There's already plugins for it, but not many people using the merged technologies in practical ways. One such way I plan to use it is with Steemitkids. But I'm also hoping to design a few themes and easy-installs for artists, magazines, ecommerce, etc. This would show people the capabilities of using Steem/SMT integrated sites of their own, on their own domains. I would try to get the Wordsteem page set up so it's not dead looking, and so it has a proper proposal on the blog.

At present I don't do much upvote-curating at my level, but I tweet posts at MAYBORNSTAR on Twitter, and roundup some of my favorites in my own blogs. Most of my votes go to engaging my readers, steem posts, and following a dozen or so authors I really like. It would be really exciting to be able to experience what it's like to vote when I want, not worried about running out of votes.

I would love to explore and curate more street photography, psychology, recipes, maybe even spirituality- which I have a broad taste for from soapbox rants, to case studies, athiesm, religion, to occult topics. I'd really like to give some hope to unseen talent in wide range of categories. Sometimes just a few good upvotes can make a big difference in someone's motivation. For me it has.

Here is one of my own blog rants: Why Everyone On Steemit Would Benefit From Watching Divergent, The Movie

Now I'll be straightforward with you. I'm not a Saint like others here. I self-upvote. I have sold votes before. And I've used bid-bots. I'm probably the least valuable player here. I will say as well, I feel I have no choice but to. I dread a dip in Steem would lock me out of my account. I feel until I've rooted a stronger vest of my own, I just have to do what I have to do. I'm not funding my account anymore from the outside. I have 2 kids at home and have already lost so I'm just seeing how far I can go with what I've done for the rest of the year. I think by then I should be stable enough to invest more. In the meantime, I'm a goldfish in a sharktank.

I was referred here by @simplymike who I also nominate. I think what has been said for her already and what she's spoken of herself pretty much cover why. She's awesome.

Thanks for the opportunity to appeal for a delegation.

Peace and Blessings.

Omi

I would love to have delegation to continue supporting minnows . One must crawl before walking and fast growth is not always beneficial . One winds up missing some important lessons learned . ( I have only been here for 2 months) With that said I nominate @lynncoyle1 who works tirelessly in the effort that I support whole heartily . And to be frank without admitting anything :) would do a better job then me . That is what this is all about helping others with the maximum output .

Aww thank you so much @wolfhart, that is such a nice thing to think of me here! And I think you are being modest; you do wonderful work here as well :)

I would just spend it at the local bar :) you make more contacts then I do .
: my comment "CL" is a lottle low compaired to others on the list so just rambling here . got to some how increase my numbers and where better then here. :

How Brain is doing I hope he is having a good day . been thinking about your move there and makes a lot of sense . its nice to have the sun shine to enjoy along with the water . Best wishes to him

haha I could easily spend it that way too! The beer is way too cheap here not to haha

Brian has been having some tough days; that's why my standing in abh12345's league was lower this week. Real life is way more important though, so it is, what it is. And yes, the sunshine alone and salt water does wonders ;)

great hope tomorrow is a good day for him best wishes

Thank you, I appreciate that!

@krnel, I wish you to find decent people who would be able to properly dispose of your SP. I do not understand how it works, I do not know how to delegate. Therefore, my wishes you a good holiday!!!
