I have always wanted to play a good game with my family that rewards teaming up and hack n slashing our way through the enemies. Throughout my gamer 4 life play since 1988 (NES Original Player) I have decided to give the mobile platform of Diablo Immortal a go.
I played Diablo III with my wife when we were just married and boy it was such a fun time where all we can hear in the room together is mouse clicks. :)
The fun part about Diablo is that it begins with a modest slice n dice start with minimal enemies and your gear is just ok. However when you put hundreds of hours into this you will notice the amount of effects and the amounts of enemies you have to deal with is so vast that it actually bogs down your GPU... at the time. It still does the same with mobile... when you have a screen filled with enemies you start to see stuttering.
So I have a 9 year old son and my wife who is going to participate. My wife already knows how to play it so she just needs to get used to the new story line. As for my son... he is extremally excited to play something ultra cool as a family team. He understood the basics and immediately caught up of knowing how to level up, buy and improve gear. Its amazing how kids can understand it so fast. It took me and my wife a little bit more time because we wanted to know everything that was going on.... OCD. :)
As a result, our sons level was ahead of us and we had to play catch up. :)
Since this game is free to begin with I got everyone some game money so they can get their own skins and get a head start of motivation. It actually helps sustain the game play. There were numerous other games where we tried to be dedicated however in the end since a lot of mobile gaming platforms are buy to win, when things were getting tough we all tend to just drop it and move on with something else.
Also~ on another note. I know a lot of Diablo fans were very disappointed when Blizzard announced that the new Diablo were to be focused on mobile. I was too at that time however playing it now there are some benefits to it as well.
First of all, the graphics are not that bad actually. I was thinking it would really be bad and choppy however, with mobile phone these days the processors are so advanced its actually looks pretty good!
Secondly, since it is mobile... its always on the go. You can play it on your desktop or your mobile phone as you wish... whenever and wherever. Its so convenient!!
Third, on mobile platform the controls are pretty much universal. Meaning that kids or adults alike can adjust to the interface extremely fast and start playing immediately.
We have just started not too long ago so I will keep you guys posted on what is this game like when played with the entire family for fun. The one thing I dont hear anymore is the nostalgic click sounds of the mouse... :)
Have fun everyone!~~~
Thanks for viewing my posts.
"Set Da Tone!!!~~" :)
Hi there,
wow, I'm way outdated haha, I use to play Diablo 2 that was a fun game.
It looks like Diablo 4 is also good and way better... I really need to get it for me :P
have a wonderful Wednesday:)
Hi~~ If you liked playing Diablo 2 then your in for a treat~~~ Diablo 4 is super fun~~ and it can be played both on mobile and pc!!~~ I sometimes switch from one to another depending on if I want to use a larger screen with an xbox controller~~~ its much laid back that way in my opinion. Although I do miss clicking away at the mouse too. hehehhe. Give it a try on your phone, its free~~~ and thanks for the feedback.
Hi I definitely going to download it. Thanks for replying to me. Have a wonderful Friday 😀
It's always nice to spend time with the family and very important.
I'm glad that your wife and kid like it:)
I find this very cool, having family time while playing games is awesome. I think you are a magician because it's difficult here to convince women to play games, they always believe it belongs to the male.
I am looking forward to the updates and for kids, they are just super gifted with tech Ideas right from the pregnancy stage. They will make you ask questions like "how", I find them interesting though.
Hey George~ I totally agree with you on when you have your family play as one team, its pretty fun. The way how I convince my wife is not because of me, but when my son asks "can we play together mama?", then she cannot reject. As many Diablo players know... once you start clicking away, there is no turning back! It is so satisfying to click and see the smashing action. Then I got the while family hooked!!! I will post some updates on where we at and what new things I learned~~ oh yes there is always something that is unexpected. Hehehehhe Stay tuned~~~ Thanks!!!
That's true, it is easier for mothers to say NO to their husbands than kids. I will definitely be looking forward to the update, enjoy the night sir.
Exactly~~ :) Sometimes its good to think about a strategy before you take action. :) I will keep you posted~
Immortal is quite good, but rhe micro-transactions are crazy and a bit tol greedy for someone like me to progress properly xD
Lolz~ I know what you mean and we are trying to minimize this as much as possible. Since it is a free game to start with the "pay to level up" system is very obvious. However, considering that when I used to play Diablo III the full game was $60... so logically my micro transactions will have a limit till there. Thats my strategy. :)
$60 isn't bad though. I played D2 and D2 expansion way back and it was awesome :D
But haven't you heard that people spends 10k to get a legendary gems and such?
The odds are crazy low
10K to get a legendary.... I love Diablo, but not enough to spend 10K on it. Yea~ I do hear about them and what I realize is that you can't put a price on what people are passionate for. :)
That is true!
Diablo knows it audience :p

What do you think of Immortal are you up in arms about it like the rest of the Diablo community?
I know there are many people who play it seriously and spend tons of money to get to maximum ranking, however for myself since I am one of the originator generations who played the Diablo series I just play for the joy of the unique gameplay of Diablo... brings back good memories from the past.
Money wise, this game is designed to pay to win... So I can spend up to 100 dollars for the joy of being entertained however I dont think I will overspend more than that... Its a trend that will come and go... unless your die hard fan of this I just like to play with family and friends time to time.
