Real difference I see is that it is dedicated blockchain! Of course other tokens can be integrated and utilized, but imagine if project manage to get game developers on board where they finally have way to build business around without too much difficulty. For example some games you see today have their internal tokens but they only sell it to users to unlock some features, now this process can be handled easier. I am not saying peerplays solves this or that problem that's yet to be seen, it is exciting to watch and try to be open minded about it.
And my original article was about Steem Games just like Facebook Games where you play with friend and earn something with Steem's monetary reward system or pay to unlock etc. so much to explore and to be tried on Steem.
Yes, you are absolutly right - I definitely see the benefit for developers and I guess I also understand the idea. I just wanted to point out that they may have a hard start as (from my point of view) there is no real benefit for the end user.
