While taking my masters degree few years ago, we had a discussion in our Applied Economics class on how we could help the vulnerable sector. We came to a point and agreed that it is important to build them up by (1) teaching them how to fish instead of giving them fishes all the time; (2) and support the local market by buyiny good from them.
Helping their industry grow is one way of sending their kids to school and giving food on their tables.
