These last few days I have been under an unusual amount of stress for various reasons. Although I am able to push through this in normal circumstances, my body has been warning me to take things slower.
I am not a procrastinator, so when someone asks me to do something I usually do it as quickly as possible just to get it done. These last few weeks has been more hectic than usual and somehow my brain decided that it just had enough. The fact that I work from home does not help either because nothing stops you from continuing to work like in forever...
When I finally get to bed, I am really tired, but because of the amount of things going on in my brain, my brain decides to continue working while the rest of my body actually needs some sleep.
So is it really worth it?
Last night as I lay awake, staring at the ceiling, I kept on going back to this particular question.
Is it really worth it to bend over backwards killing yourself for someone else, so that you can just earn a salary?
In my mind I wanted the answer to be no, but(there is always a but) to have a stable income is something that we all need to survive. So the answer came out as yes, but(here it is again)you don't have to kill yourself doing it. It is only worth it if you have your priorities in order and if you do it to reach a goal.
So from today, I am going back to my to-do list. My job is very demanding, so I definitely need to be more organized to survive my job.
Most of us work full time, and to have any time left for ourselves, we need to have some kind of schedule to work from. Even though I am a full time teacher for six hours per day, I also have other duties, and because we are an online school, the support is ongoing. It just never stops!
We all need to learn how to prioritize, and we need to learn how to postpone. If it is not on your to-do list for today, then don't do it today, leave it for tomorrow!
But(see I told you!) we never need to stop doing our best, because to come out on top, you need to be the best, and to be the best, you need to work hard!
I have a few adjustments to make in my life, and funny enough, to be more organized, might help me to achieve more. Mostly the end- result is worth it.
Remember that everything in life has an end to it. Nothing lasts forever. If you work hard now, then you can do so much less later in life, because you will be able to look back at what you have achieved and then you SHOULD be proud of yourself.
BUT!!!
Remember to live in between all the hard work too....
Good post :) I really like your posts, keep the spirit and be the best
Thank you! I'm glad someone reads them! Have a good weekend! :)

I'm sorry, I actually forgot to vote you.
We must remember that we are no help to anyone if we don’t look after ourselves first.
Thanks for the reminder.
Such an amazing post. I have followed you and i look forward to more amazing stuff from you.
I ask myself the same question every day, juggling working for a construction firm and being an entrepreneur is not easy but for now, i need the money and the experience so am dogging it out for now.
happy to know am not the only one.
Just have to fake it till you make it...good luck!
I've been through this cycle many times. I find that to-do lists help initially, making me feel like I'm getting organized. But all too soon I find the list of unchecked items getting longer and longer and the to-do list becomes a source of additional frustration. Do you ever experience this?
Also, have you tried breathing exercises or meditation to counter the tension and to turn off the brain when you need to relax?
breathtaking!
In reality, people should work and achieve. But, @giantbear, they have to do what they are able to do, and leave the rest for the future. We cannot really afford the consequences of overworking ourselves. We just need to live happily and enjoy ourselves.
I am a writer. I am @gboyegaogunmola. I am writing article on the "psychological aspect of man". I believe you that, people should place a strong emphasis on personal health, they shouldn't believe in procrastination. Procrastination comes in when they have failed to do what they are expected to do in a reasonable time.
Some of the things we have come across must be subjected for a future consideration, or be subdued totally for a good reason.
Try to meditate on your favorite places you've been, or things you have done. If the whole day was great but the food then imagine great food. Be there..feel it smell it. No stress. This will help. Joy
I like the phrase, "This too, shall end!" Sometimes we need that.
Yes, within this Universe of Separation there always two sides of the coin which are inevitably glued to each other. So no matter where we look there are always two perspectives at least. The more we retain balance the more Harmony is being created.;) Thank you!
