RE: The Good Vs Evil Delusion

So you are saying absolut truth exists but we are not able to discover it? Maybe I got you "wrong"... ;)

no. there is no absolute truth.

Do you see why I have to come back and ask wether that is absolutely true or just an illusion (produced by non-rational chemical reactions in your brain)? That is still an universal statement of truth, isn't it? It applies to everyone anytime, "right"...? ;) It applies despite what 7.5+ billion people think:

Well, if you give 10 people LSD and they see flying dragons it doesn't make the true. Truth is at the eyes of the beholder.

Again. No such thing as absolute truths. None. Wrote an article about it in the past

Dear Friend, I really can't help but to wonder that you're not perceiving the elephant in the room...

You are denying absolut truth with absolut certainty as though it were absolut true:

no. there is no absolute truth.
Again. No such thing as absolute truths. None.

Your position self-destructs under it's own weight. To deny absolut truth with absolut certainty is absurd. That's what you do, look at the negations.

This statement that there is no absolute truth** is logically speaking either 1) (absolutely) true or 2) false.

  1. If it's (absolutely) true that there is no absolut truth, this statement is false because there is something absolutely true. The denial of absolut truth leads to absurdity because one has to appeal to absolute truth in order to deny it.

  2. If it's (absolutely) false that there is no absolut truth, this statement is simply false absolute truth exists.

There really is no way around. Your position brought to it's logical conclusion ends in the realm of absurdity. It's a self-reverential absurdity and collapses after an internal critique. It is like a building not able to bear it's own weight. Analogically speaking it's as absurd as giving a logical argument against the existence of logic.

I'm looking forward to your response.

I never said "with absolute certainty". even my position is subjective. There is no absolute truth according to me.

Your argument can be turned against you though quite easy. For an absolute truth to exist 7.5+ billion people have to accept it. good luck with that.

Absolute truth exists necessarily because it's denial is absurd. Sure, you can move from

no. there is no absolute truth.
Again. No such thing as absolute truths. None.

to "It's just my opinion that there is no absolute truth". The fact stands that if you try to say that there IS no truth, no, none, no such thing, it leads to absurdity and therefor I think I have logically demonstrated that absolute truth necessarily exists.

The ever changing opinion or agreement of the whole earth's population does't constitute truth. Men can never be the foundation for absolute truth. If NaziGermany had won the war and in the end all people would think that it is right to kill jews in gas chambers it wouldn't make it true. Or if everybody would think that the moon is made of green cheese it still wouldn't be true.

Why do you have such a hard time to except the unavoidable conclusion?

Absolute truth exists necessarily because it's denial is absurd.

A statement doesn't make it true man. You need to demonstrate it.

Absurdity is acceptable if you take into consideration the myriads of constituents that make up a given truth. From time, space and entropy one cannot have the absolute picture for anything. One can only have a relative truth based on a given time-space. Absolute truths are ever-lasting. No such thing on a universe that is build on constant change.

The ever changing opinion or agreement of the whole earth's population does't constitute truth. Men can never be the foundation for absolute truth.

It is men who come up with the philosophical enquiries so men decide whether something is true or not. Work your logic man.

If NaziGermany had won the war and in the end all people would think that it is right to kill jews in gas chambers it wouldn't make it true.

It could. It is ok to kill cows today and eat them. in a vegan world is unacceptable though and therefore false.

Or if everybody would think that the moon is made of green cheese it still wouldn't be true.

It could based on M-theory that all possible states of the universe can and would exist. Heck you can even demonstrate that from a certain perspective the earth is flat.

Why do you have such a hard time to except the unavoidable conclusion?

Why do you have such hard time with logic 101?
