While I agree with most of this, there is a line you draw between working and reaping the rewards. I do play games, and hold that controller, but do it less since joining Steemit.
The average american watches ~5 hours of TV per day, that is 35 hours a week. Throw in gaming, social media etc and perhaps the balance of healthy escapism and avoidance of life is out of whack for many people. It is everyone's responsibility to look after themselves though.
5 hours a day? is this a stereotypical American?
I get less than a hour a day of TV at most.. just before I sleep, otherwise I could happily live without it.
