Haha I am grateful for our small insect population here!! Although there are plenty of Black Widows to photograph! Just find a wood pile! They're so shiny and creepy looking!
Oh yes I have seen some beautiful images out of the 100-400 II L for sure. Lots of bird photographers here on the island, and they love it.
I look forward to seeing what you produce when you get your 100L out more! I'll be jealous! :D

Yes the redback is a close relative of the North American black widow. I will have to look out for them.
