Slowly they started off into the desert. It would be weeks before the caravan saw green again, weeks until they had fresh water. It was likely most of them wouldn't return. But they needed to cross the desert. It was the only way to escape the horrors that they had left.. They hoped above all hope that those horrors wouldn't follow them across the sands.

Thanks for taking the time to write this. Beautiful concept and beautifully executed. Sadly your story has been true for a few too many over the centuries.

Unfortunately probably still happens more often than we know.

Glad you enjoyed.

Yes I think so; particularly in that part of the world.

good post brother...

Stunning, I love the lines that the sand has created!

Thanks. Appreciate your ongoing support !

these colours are out of space :)

Its amazing how different the colour of sand can be from one desert to another.

did you, by chance, met the "little Prince" over there, staring at the stars ? ;-)
Great photography, Robert... I once went in the desert too... so thank you for this memory brought back so vividly !

Amazing! I'd love to walk across those dunes...I would if I wasn't absolutely certain I would die from heat exhaustion and dehydration

Thanks Kieran. I would love to spend a bit more time there. I am sure you would last longer than you think ;-)

Love the color of this! :D

Thanks mate. Although you have shown me up with your dune shot!

Mine is more fine art, yours shows more what it's like to be there. :)

Always impressed all the amazing places you've been

Thanks Jarvie. You seem to have been to no shortage of cool places yourself!
