New From the Archives #2 - Pictures From The Past

in #photofeed3 years ago

Hi Folks!

Photos are like memories - and like memories - we sometimes forget about them...
It is much harder to reach forgotten memories but luckily not so hard to find forgotten shots ;).

During the time I spent in Norway, I was taking my camera on 95% of the trips and travels. Thanks to that I can say - I have detailed memories from that time, from the places, even from 9 years ago.

Photography is a great thing, I am not taking so much photographs as before - many times I am going out without the camera - I feel more relaxed, more light and "free" without my gear in backpack but in the same time I regret when the conditions around me are unique.

Hope to find my routines and more time for traveling soon - I am missing it very much.

Have a nice day!

There is nothing new about your photography, all the photos look like movies, and the editing is great, from the colors to the details.Hello dear @photovisions,

If you help me a little bit about photography, I can do a little photography, I can't do wildlife photography like you, but I want to do street portrait and cultural photography, I can't afford to buy Canon EOS 6D, and my husband is working in a private firm. He help me, If any below 1thousand $ camera, this will be good for me?

I've been watching videos on YouTube for a while now, how to do photography, I've sent some pictures below, what kind of pictures do I want to take.

If Your budget is limited to 1000 I can recommend You to look for any used camera, maybe on eBay - the best option would be the full frame - like You mentioned 6D is great choice - it is lower budget camera but I still have mine 6D in the camera bag and use it without any problems. Maybe there are offers on this one used, together with kit lens 18-55mm - it would be great starting camera with a lot of possibilities and great quality.
If You won't find full frame camera - You can look for any camera from Canon, Nikon, Sony or Fuji - but remember to pick something where You can switch lenses - during some time You can buy and try other lenses - maybe ultra wide like 14 or 16mm or a bit more zoom like 200mm - But in the beginning it is great to try and find Your own way of making shots - You may like to shoot more from a close distance then from a far, You may like the style of wide lens more than others... You will see after some time which type of shooting You will prefer.Hi @ykdesign ! As You said - this type of photography is called Street photography. There is no special gear required for this one in my opinion - the best effect You can get using wide angle lenses like 18 or 24 mm, but also I know many of the street photographers use the angle which is close to what we can see - 50 or 55mm.

In my opinion every camera is good - if the photographer has the idea, inspiration, have this vision of what to shoot and what to achieve - camera is just a tool and these days, older cameras are in many cases better then the new ones.

I hope I helped a bit, try to look around after some used cameras, I can recommend 6D if You will find any good and in reasonable price. Lens something around 18-55mm for street photography is enough, try to look the lens which has stabilization build inside - street photography is something we do almost always from hand - to be creative, to act quickly, to be close to the people and the action. Stabilization is very helpful to get sharp images.

Hope You will get one very soon and start shooting :).

Take care!

thanks dear, I'll try to buy 6D second-hand camera and Canon EF50mm f/1.8 STM lens. I'll saving my money for good investment 😂

It would be a perfect setup! Good luck!

Yes, photographs are amazing for remembering details you other wise will loose to remember.
I hope we all can travel soon once again. This is just so…… especially if you are a traveler.
I miss it dearly.

Hi, it looks better then a year ago so I hope all the things will end soon. I also miss the travelling, but right now I have many other things which I have to organize first. Waiting for the moment to start again...

Yes, you are right. It’s changing.
