Firstly, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to these four wonderful individuals for sharing their photographic journeys and personal stories with us and to all of you out there who support this initiative.
Just to refresh your memories or in case you don’t know what this is all about because you just recently came across this blog, the aim is to raise community awareness about the quality content these photographers do indeed bring to the platform.
A biography is published about any photographer that has volunteered. For 5 consecutive days their work, as well as any special projects they may be running at the time, will be “In the Spotlight”.
and below you can read a brief summary about each of them.
Razi Pelangi @razipelangi
Razi was born in Aceh Pidie, on October 20, 1989. His full name is Fachrur Razi, and today he is a professional wedding photographer.
Razi’s life was moulded much around the cultural environment in Pidie. Initially, Razi studied at the Faculty of Dentistry in Aceh, but he did not feel at ease in this environment, nor did he feel proud of his profession, even though a profession as a dentist is considered a very prestigious profession in Aceh.
But Razi felt uneasy with his choice of profession and being born the son of a photographer, Razi felt very drawn to photography and believed that being a photographer was definitely a better choice for him. To Razi, it just felt “right”!

Oscar Perez @oscarps
How it all began:
An old box full of photos, about our family in everyday life and landscapes, in my grandparent’s house, is one of the clearest memories that come to mind. I used to spend hours sorting through those black and white photos, some of them, very damaged because of time and neglect. They were my treasure, the family legacy and heritage, and this was my initial and probably most valuable contact with photography.

Jason Russell @jasonrussell
Jason, in 2003 bought his first Canon Digital Rebel and has been upgrading and buying equipment as and when it became a requirement for work. Before then and since he has done portraits ranging from Babies to Boudoir and just about everything in between!
Jason and his wife Melody share a passion for photography as well as the love of nature and travelling, and this becomes very evident when you see the photos. They love photographing weddings, music festivals, animals, flowers, fashion and landscapes, basically anything that presents itself as a potentially interesting photo.
