Bonsai Show

This morning I spent the day with my dad. We went to a 9am Yoga class and then went to a Bonsai show.
We both love checking out bonsai shows every now and then. It is an amazing art to see.

The Bonsai is an old Japanese tradition of planting trees in small pots. These trees are trimmed back and over time have the appearance of full grown tree in a miniature size.

At the Bonsai show there were many different variations of trees. Oaks, Maples, Junipers, fruit trees, flowering trees.
If was fun to see the different sizes. Ranging from smallest would fitting in the palm of your hand to others that would have to be carried by a few people.

They had trees for sale.

My favorite were the trees with fruit on them. This Persimmon tree held cute little fruit on it.

A demonstration showed how the trees get trimmed and formed.

This Maple tree was amazing. It was showing its fall colors.

I hope you enjoyed some of my favorite trees from the Bonsai show.
I would like to have my own still Bonsai someday. I think I would want a Maple or one with fruit.

Have you ever been to a Bonsia show?
Ever owned a Bonsai tree? If so, what kind?

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Yeah I think some are hard to manage

Those trees are so beautiful! I've always wanted one, so magical. Looks like a great day too :)

They are very magical huh ;)
Thanks for checking out my post !

that's beautiful plants :)

They sure are!

Very beautiful plants and fruits. Thanks for sharing :)

I'd like to do yoga, but in my village there are no instructors. Advise, where to start? Perhaps there is some literature for self-study? Very interested in your opinion about it.

no yoga instructors where you live?? Where is that?
Look up yoga videos on YouTube. You can find so many beginner videos and even full classes.
Yoga is just moving your body in different ways that stretch and make you feel good .
I recommend looking up some videos and trying some of the movements :)

Great idea. Without an instructor I will not harm my body? I know that in yoga there are some special breathing techniques which is not recommended without an experienced instructor. I live in a small village. Is definitely not of the yoga professionals. Thank you, I try to look on YouTube.

Well yoga is a lot more than just moving. I like to blog about some mythology and principles of yoga, soon will introduce some short practice videos! Anna, you can definitely look up how to do Nadi Shodhana to relax and calm down. Or fire breath if you need to get energized. Also ujjayi breath if you want to create some body heat, and strengthen your nervous and digestive systems. There is no risk of harming yourself. The risk is only in practices where you hold your breath for long periods of time. And you just gave me an idea for posts. Coming soon... PRANAYAMA (breathing)!!

I've given bonsai trees as presents and everyone loved them. Each tree is a work of art. Thank you for sharing.

wow amazing....

name of this bonsai plesae if you remember......
it has lush fruits....beautiful....i just love it.

These are so cool to me for some reason lol, I had one myself and ended up root rotting it :( Sigh they seem to take a good bit of maintenance and almost like a hobby for the amount of work that needs to go into them.

Oh ya! Some of them are a lot of work. They are pretty cool though.

Glad to see you with your dad! A great event! Maple is my favorite! πŸ˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜—πŸ˜™πŸ€—πŸ€—

Yeah it was a nice time hanging with him! :)

How come you never come to MY yoga classes... hmph!..

I LOVE bonsais, they are fascinating. The passion to tend something small for a lifetime and sometimes more is simply amazing. I can't believe some of them had fruit! What a nice day with your dad. Hope you are having a wonderful day and are all ready for steemfest, yay!
