The cape Espichel is located 45 kilometers from Lisbon. From the cliff there is a beautiful picture of the Atlantic Ocean. The cliffs in the time of the Romans called the sheer cliffs of the barbarians. On the cape Eshpishel there is a lighthouse and the church of Our Lady. My friend there has a rest and sent me these photos:

Did you know The church was decreed to be constructed by King Dom. Pedro II in 1701 and was consecrated in 1707.
On a clear night, the light from Cabo Espichel Lighthouse can be seen for 22 miles out to sea.
