Zombie Apocalypse: Undead Wanted

This might be a good setting for a zombie apocalypse. It just needs the zombies.

I recently found a parking lot and staging area and decided to do more testing with my camera. While taking these photos, I couldn't help but think that this might be a good setting for a scene in a show like The Walking Dead. I made some edits in Lightroom to get a better apocalyptic effect.

What do you think? Do they pass the walker test? Would the undead feel comfortable in this environment?

Old wood and black and white photos
It reminds me of zombies.

Haha, great pictures, nice post! Thanks for sharing.

The area out where it's all gravel and industrial looking stuff, that really is a perfect Walking Dead set just waiting to happen.

My favorite photo out of these though is that ultra-gnarly tree, hot DAMN that is a nice shot. The tree is just so evil and embattled looking, and the way the sunlight is happening in the background creates even more contrast.

That tree is pretty intense even in full color. Sometimes I wonder why they spared some of the trees in this lot, then I realize that they did it for me...for posts like this.

Here come the Zombies!!

Rick, Darryl, Carl

Where are you guys?

They're probably out making bad decisions again...like not killing bad people when they have the chance.

That seems about par for the course. Makes for more drama!

Nice editing! How about some really angry ones?

These shots are brilliant. I particularly like the shot of the pebbles and the fence images.

Thank you! I wasn't sure what I would use those shots for at the time. Then I thought, "Zombie setting?"

(It may or may not have been my wife's idea.)

Let's do this -bucket looks so out of place in this setting, interesting contrast.

And what come to the zombies, I'd be really comfortable slaying some in there :D

Well, the truth about the bucket is this:

I had just changed my focus to single-point and saw that I could use that bucket to test it on the words and easily check it on my camera's screen.

I got a Canon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don't take my Kodachrome away

Paul Simon might have been a good song writer but he knew squat about photography...C'mon, Everything looks worse in black and white Really?
Those monochrome pics are spooky - compare the misty background in photo #2 with the first colour photo - no comparison. The black and white pic has character. Maybe it looks worse in the sense of being more sinister...certainly has more atmosphere, and face it, black is a zombie's element :)

good your post, hi.. im following you now. thanks you for information

I don't get it.

Nice ats-david. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pics... great scenery for the walking dead indeed!

haha i love that this was your thought!
beautiful pictures though, just missing some brains, and then I think it would be zombie heaven :)

They are building a camp for zombies and robots. They will create automated love stories.

Привет , немного страшно даже )

Any change in your behaviour, and we'll have to assume the worst.

I see some serious possibilities here. Especially pictures 5 to 7 would be some nice weapons 😉
Just a little remark on the first B&W… As you use Lightroom, I would have add a little post-crop vignetting to make the picture even more dramatic… just my 2 cents. Nice work 👍

Run! Hide! Save your species!

The undead would probably feel comfortable in any environment, lol, especially populated. I think this is more likely what living human beings would think the undead would thrive in, because it looks creepy.

Makes me want to turn on some zombie flick right now, I'm more of a fan of movies than TV shows. But I have watched my share of the Walking Dead! But there's nothing like watching flicks like World War Z, 28 Weeks Later, and Shaun of the Dead.

Man, you really inspired me to watch a zombie movie today, haven't watched one in quite awhile, thanks!

Hehe. Nice scenes. Resteemed :-)

Loved every shot amazing shots.

That 6d does a nice job! Do you miss the articulating screen. I have been looking at that versus the 80d. I think full frame is cool, but I cant live without the articulating screen for vlogging and general picture taking.

wow. Of course, the test passes and more.
Excellent pictures.
