RE: Photo Editing Experiment #1

in #photography5 years ago

Hello! Sorry for not responding right away.

To begin with, one question. Where did you meet this green guy? Did we visit the same lawn? 8)

Regarding the idea described in the post. Your idea is interesting. From the very beginning of my passion for photography, I thought that processing was useful for photography. Processing allows you to emphasize the strengths of the photo and eliminate errors.

This idea is not new. It seems to me that the first who honed his processing skill on other people's photos in Steemit was @sulev. How much water has flowed away ... When the Russian-speaking fork of Steemit appeared, I tried the same thing there.

Then the moment came when the community came together and organized a challenge, in which each participant submitted his photo for processing and each participant processed the photos of the other participants.

Unfortunately it was a very long time ago and find those old posts. But here is something that I accidentally found https://golos.io/@neo/fotochelendzh-5-rezultaty-neo.

I must say right away that few people were ready to provide their photo for processing. You can transfer a raw file only through mail.

Later on steemit there was also a company that was engaged in similar. This was called photogames. But unfortunately I practically did not take part there.

A lot of information in your reply :) didn't know that were something similar here, I like to edit photos and I am trying to get better and make it fun and to try new things. Would be nice if it would evolve and more people get involved, we could learn new stuff from each other. Now it seems that you find my bug twin 😂 your photo seems already cool, do you think I could edit it more? Should I give oy a try?

I like to edit photos too and I was growing my skills with that challenge. Especially because there was one skilled guy who gave us some lessons.

To be true I'd like to participate in something similar. But I'm not sure if I'll have enough free time for that. And of course it's interesting only when there are enough participants.

What about that green guy. Do you want me to send a RAQ picture? I need your email for that.
I think I can try to make a new edit to this picture too.

I will edit the jpg, is more challenging :) I might crop it for different composition, hope is ok if the watermark is cut out when I crop it. I will try to post tomorrow the results, will mention you there :)

By the way, since I started talking about the challenge, I had a little time and I decided to have fun and made my own version of processing the photos that were offered to you in the comments. If you and the authors of these photos do not mind, I will publish them after you too. This way we can give a different vision of the same photos.

Since this shot was taken without a macro lense it was cropped by me. I think it would be hard to find an original jpeg from camera but here is a clean jpeg I made from RAW with Lightroom
