Beach Wednesday: Waiting for the sun to rise early morning at Amager Strandpark.

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

With the Moon still clearly visible, I got this shot at 3:45 AM on Amager Strandpark (beach park) in Copenhagen whilst I was waiting for the early Nordic sunrise to do its thing and blind me.

The details for the image are: Nikon D700, Nikkor 24-85mm 3.5-4.5G ED, f/8, 1.3 sec, 32 mm, ISO 200.

Hope you like the post and please let me know what you think about the image. I really like feedback...

Also, I would want you to know that I would be humbled if you decided to use any of my images, however, please contact me about it first to discuss the matter. Thank you! :)

This is beautiful and amazing
You´re an Amazing photographer @creutzy :)

Many thanks my friend! Greatly appreciated!

Man, I could lay down there all day and sip on some fiiiiine wine ;)

And you could...drinking in public is generally accepted and legal in Denmark.

Wow, now I'm just jealous...I mean only if the states could be that lenient but I guess it must be peaceful over there for y'all to be able to do that freely

It is...been here for about 2.5 years and I still haven't seen anything as much as a proper fight go on. Peaceful as they come really. They only time I got told off for public drinking was on the steps of the royal palace, which in hindsight was a bad place to think of drinking.

Beautiful! I just picked up a new lens and am getting excited to go out and do some shots like this.

Thank you! What lens did you treat yourself to?

Zeiss Milvus 50mm F1.4

Now that's a beautiful lens... I have some a Zeiss 50 mm lens too but it is older and not as fast. I love the bokeh you get with it though and the build quality. Those things are legendary. I hope you have fun taking pictures with it. Will keep an eye out for them.

I as well. It is my first non-canon lens for photography and my first none L-series lens. I was very impressed by the reviews I read and the build quality is quite excellent. I'm excited to be finally graduating from zoom lenses to primes. I really hope this helps me evolve my work further.

The L series are nice but I am sure you will learn to appreciate your new Zeiss just as much if not more. Primes offer some advantages. Biggest being how fast it is and the amazing bokeh. I read that 50 mm is also the closest range to that of the human eye. Using your feet to zoom in and out is a bit tricky though. Have fun!

I spent some time yesterday breaking it in and putting it through its paces. It is definitely rendering color and highlights much better. I think I'm going to update the rest of my lenses with Zeiss primes after this.

I can't wait for my polarizing filter to come in so I can play with that :-)

Great photo, too bad the sea is about 800 km away from me :)))

Cheers! Sorry to hear that! I hope you get to chill on a beach soon...

What a view. Why I'm not on vacation now?
Looks like Maspalomas in Gran Canaria.

Thanks for the visit! You should be, vacation season is now. Funny how places often look the same... :)

You are right!
