Favorite Photos
This week's theme is all about showing off your favorite photo that you have taken. The theme doesn't matter. It can be a black and white image of a dog, a macro shot of an ant, or a colorful landscape. It doesn't matter, as long as it is something that you like. Now judging this type of theme is a bit harder without any context on an image, so try and add a bit of background to your entry and why it is your favorite. I am sure the hardest part for all of you is going to be choosing a favorite shot of yours.

How is the Deranged Photography Contest set up?
The contest is broken up into three different tiers. Each will have a different payout for the winners based on what tier you enter into. Here is a breakdown of the rewards based on the tiers:

Each contest will be open for submissions for 6 days after the post is made and then closes at 0100 UTC (1800 MST) on the 6th day.
This will give me and any guest judges time to judge the submissions and create the post announcing the winners.
How to enter
When you enter a photo in the competition, you will state what tier you want to be judged in and locked in for the month at that level.
For example if you enter a photo, you drop the photo in the comment section, state what level of photographer you are, and then give a description of the photograph.
That's pretty much it, drop a photo in the comment section of this post and state your tier. If you want to make a separate post for your entry as well, that is fine, but for your entry to be valid, your photo and tier must be in here in the comment section of this post. If you do make a separate post, be sure to use the #creativecoin tag.
Additional Notes
Only one submission per contest. Extra submissions will be ignored.
You can switch your tier ONE time per month, but only if you are moving up into a higher tier, for example if you are currently in the amateur tier, but you think that you have a photograph that you want to enter in the professional tier, you can state that you are changing your tier to professional. You will then be locked into the new tier for the remainder of the month. You are not able to move down to a lower tier, like going from amateur to the beginner tier.
If you do not state wish tier you want to be judged in for the month, I will leave a comment to remind you to do so, but if you don't respond, you will be assigned to a tier and locked in for that month.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any form. All submissions must be your own work. I will investigate every entry and if you are caught plagiarizing, not only will you be blacklisted from competing from any future contests, but you will be reported to @steemcleaners as well. It is not worth it to try and cheat, especially with the 3 tier set up where everyone has an equal shot of winning.

This is the incredible Peyto Lake, Banff National Park. One of the best views in all of the Rockies. IMO. Tier: Amateur.

I'm a bit confused about the timings...
It's a weekly challenge but you are bound to a tier for a month... does this means you have to participate 4 times?

Yes, you are locked into the tier for the month. This is to prevent people from going into a higher tier one week and then the next week when it is a theme they may be weaker in, trying to go to a lower tier.

This theme is a real brainteaser, how on earth can a photographer choose just one photo :)
Anyway I'll enter with this shot from the Greek island of Paros not for the artistic value (if any) but for what it means for me.
You may have read in my blog that I used to be a photographer for a travel magazine and for some years I was traveling and taking pictures all over Greece. Paros was the first assignment I took from this magazine and I have to admit, I was pretty nervous about it. You see I had never done something similar before and I was completely unprepared to carry the burden of a whole publication, as I did! Imagine that I took this job with a portfolio based on vacation shots!
With this picture I started to believe that I can make it! The minute I saw it on the camera screen, I was ecstatic and it gave me all the encouragement I needed during those stressful and nervous days!

I took this photo many years ago when I just bought my Nikon SLR camera. When I joined Steemit, I first tried processing photos, I processed this photo and published it. Now I have made a new version of processing this photo. It became interesting to me to search where this photo was published and I was somewhat surprised. It turned out that the first version of this photo became popular on the Internet. People use it in their photo collections, make advertising pictures based on this photo.
I can say with confidence that this is one of my favorite photos. Including because it was made in a very beautiful place, on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, where I managed to visit only once. Despite the fact that I have visited Lake Issyk-Kul many times. In addition, I absolutely did not know how to photograph at that time. But it seems to me that the frame came out quite successful.

Wow, this is a tought one. Wildlife theme, without a doubt, but still hard. Don't know if I can call it my absolute favourite, but sure is on the podium. This one was taken in Uda Wallawa national Park, in Sri Lanka, during a safari. A beautiful changeable hawk-eagle, that remained perched while the jeep aproached. One of the coolest raptors I've seen, and with an extra taste, since it was photographed in his native habitat.
