First car was a land yacht, specifically a '77 Ford LTD. 400 CI V8, 3-speed auto, RWD. It was totaled when T-boned by a Subaru. Then I got the white Neon. It was rear-ended in 2012, and I used the settlement money to put it back on the road. Now I am slowly working on an engine swap to get the blue Neon running.
I liked the LTD, but it was not a practical car. 15 MPG is hard on the wallet, and RWD sucks in winter. Parking wasn't especially easy either. The Neon is much more maneuverable, and the 5-speed makes up somewhat for the anemic 2.0L 4-banger. FWD handles snow better, even if it's less fun.
Land yacht, haha! Yeah, the neon does sound much better for everyday use. Speaking of parking, the Ramcharger wasn't too fun to squeeze into a spot either.
Back when the Neon was totaled and I was still waiting on a settlement, I considered a Ramcharger. It was in very poor shape and had the winter 4x4 price hike going on to boot.
