I love to drive on snowy roads, but rain can turn quickly into ice, as you say. And that's something I do not like.

Exactly. I miss the snow since we came down here but at least we don't have to worry about icy roads.
No advantage without disadvantage, but I think you can live quite good without the snow, and if you miss it too much you can always drive north or east (no idea where in Texas you are about) to find some snow :)

We are in North Texas, only about 45 minutes from the border of Oklahoma so it would only take an hour or two to find snow.
That's perfect - if you need snow you take a few hours off work, if Mrs. J lets you, and within 2 hours you see that cold white stuff ;)

That is the problem though. Mrs. J. rules the place with an iron fist and she would never allow such an excursion. lol.
I think, Mrs. J. knows why she is like she is ... she knows you long enough ;) lol
