I would like to have a cabin in the mountains but I don't like the idea of avalanches! Unless it is an avalanche of beer.

You have to build that cabin somewhere, where's no danger of avalanches, of course - somewhere where you have a nice view and watch the avalanches rush down the mountain ;)

On most mountains there are mor or less large mountain pastures where the farmers and other people have their cabins. I think these places should be safe to live ;)

You have to have a farm in the valley. The mountain pasture belongs to many farmers who have their cattle and sheep there during the summer. Of course, they rent rooms for tourists, but as far as I know you cannot buy a property there. Our cabin is there on goodwill of the alpine club, because my father takes care of their big cabin, but the property belongs to them.

What the??? You can't buy a property there? Why not? Can't you just offer the farmers a ton of money so they can't resist?
