The wide angle shots captured the whole flowers quite well. Although there's a lot of details and richness to the portraits, I still prefer the wide angle ones.

Yes...I understand...many times when I see still life paintings especially the more contemporary...the details of the flowers themselves are lost.
No Hellebores in this one...just daffs and a small single yellow narcissus as well as grass leaves and branches found when gathering them.

This is true, although I agree that the details can be lost and we may just want them, but still, the colours are fascinating enough to show how beautiful they are.
