Today I took some photos of our chickens as they're growing SO much. This little spotted bugger always comes out when I show up, often for pets but this time it posted for a shot. We aren't sure on it's sex, but I like it.
The one pecking is our largest chicken so far, and one of the prettiest although you cannot see too well in this candid photo.
They were ready for food, as you can tell.
So there they are, they're growing and growing fast. I've got a lot of respect for what goes into our meat now. We spend months loving and caring for these birds, feeding them daily just so they can feed us a few times. I know so many people are quick to call me cruel for raising meat, but I think they've got the nice end of the deal. I protect them from predators, wait on them like they're at a restaurant and all they've gotta do is be chickens. Not a bad life, by any standards. And considering we eat them before they get old and sick, no suffering from terrible health for these guys. Just a full life with a quick end.
Thanks for following and supporting us, until next time!
I like it!
Very interesting! ☆☆☆☆☆😎
I use to have chickens. I love having our own eggs. Farm eggs have so much better flavor than the commercial ones plus the yolks are so golden. Very nice photos.
Chicken envy
We still have to clean out and upgrade an old out building before we can fill it with some chickens. We're behind schedule ( as usual hahaha) Can't wait. Do you have predators?
Nice chick pics!
Adorbs!!!
