On my beginnings to improving my photography and trying new concepts, joined my brother and and a couple of friends to do some Steel Wool photos inside a Tunnel; It was a really cold night, but fun getting a couple of pictures and learning a new technique.
Tripod, long exposure and trying not to freeze my ass off.

If you haven't tried yet, long exposures of the stars is pretty cool
actually did try, but East coast is so light polluted that I'm having a hard time finding a good place for it, too broke to travel to midwest for it.
Last fall I went on an off-roading trip with some friends to Black Mountain KY and there is where I have seen the darkest sky and the most stars. A guy in the group had a nice camera and did a long exposure and got a really good shot of the milky way. So I guess my point is the top of a mountain is a good place for that?
yeah, for sure, when I used to live in Chile, I had that sky of the milky way pretty much every night.
