There are about 50 stalls here and it was the first opening in the Spring season. They also plan to start a night market with eats, drinks and live music over the December festive season.
Come walk with us today!
Some new artwork to be seen here!
He seems now to also make child figures.
Zimbabwean memories on canvas by the artist!
A lovely home scene!
The artists name is "Bulez" which means "Blessings"!
And he migrated from Harare in Zimbabwe to South Africa.
A short video of his place at the flea market!
Some crazy and colorful T-Shirts and dresses!
Woven baskets and other items on sale here!
Bowls, plates and place mats African style.
All hand made and oven baked!
Some steemian asked for painted stones and here are plenty!
Pure Southern Cape Olives on sale here!
"Oh No" he said, "I definitely don't eat olives, as they look like goat poop" hahaha
Some beautiful hand painted wall plates!
All African style of course!
At last Lady Marian beckoned that it was time to go.
Amazing what can be made with metal and a rock!
That's All Folks!
Since the South African borders were opened thousands of skilled migrants have streamed into the country to ply their trades here.
The money that they make is sent back to their families in their home countries.
Dire poverty exists on the African continent and South Africa is seen as the land of milk and honey for the desperate souls that can make it here. Many of them have traveled here on foot braving lions and other predators on their way here.
Sadly many syndicates have also grabbed the opportunity to infiltrate the country which unfortunately does not bode well for the future. Unless of course that our laws are tightened and implemented.
But there is always hope!

Thank you and glad that you liked the post my friend.
Blessings to you!
Beautiful works of art! I hope after all the risks they have taken that anyone who has migrated South will be successful and be able to help their families. I love the pottery and the baskets and would have a hard time not taking some of those home. I responded to you on Discord and hope you get your ESTM Tokens figured out!
Thank you my dear friend!
At least they can earn an honest living over here doing what they love to do.
I will soon go and have a look at your Discord message.
Blessings and thanks for always being ready to help.
I'm always happy to share what I know!
That's how I know you my friend.
A kind and special soul.
Blessings!
Once Steemit gets Smart Media Tokens up and going ESTM tokens will have a value that we don't see yet
I don't know too much about the token side of things Lady Melinda, but I believe that what you are saying can only be good tidings.
Blessings!

You've been sharing some absolutely fantastic pieces of art lately. I love it! Of these today, I particularly like the sculpture of the boy riding the bike, and the very last one of the horned sheep. Awesome!
Thank you for the kind words my friend and I simply try to keep my posts interesting. Surely some great pieces here that are simplistic, yet profound. Glad that you liked the post.
Blessings!
Colorful place.
Thank you!
All of the artworks look very beautiful, specially the canvases and the plates. The sheep at the end was a unique idea from an artist with a lot of imagination and skill:)
Thank you Sir George, just shows what an artist can create with simple materials.
Glad that you liked the post and thank you for your kind support.
Blessings!

The people of Zimbabwe have not lost the knowledge on making art come to life in stone and wood.
I have collected many pieces during the early 1990's when they traveled down on a monthly pass bringing their pieces over the border, selling locally. Sadly I have not seen as many as we used to see.
Metal art is more local art works which I thoroughly enjoy, the children used to race these pieces around the streets made up from nothing more than old coat hangers.
Nice outing with fabulous photography once again Stephen, Oh BTW I love that dogs expression!
Hahaha, that dog was so cool Lady Joan.
We were some of those children that raced around with "cars" made from wire coat hanger levers with old empty cans as the wheels.
We also made our own scooters with planks and used old car ball bearings as the wheels.
Blessings!
Yesteryear toys built with pride for hours of enjoyment. We found an old wooden bathroom 'floor mat', pram chassis and wheels, plenty of scars to show from spills and thrills of youth.
Parents never had excess cash, being inventive was part of team work, the go-cart was used by about ten of us with parts coming from each home of local friends, built together in the garage.
Hahaha, now that speaks of innovation Lady Joan, and fond memories of course. Of course you would not wonder why we were banned from all of the garages in the area.
Only the open veld was available to us Lol
Hope that you guys have a good week.
Blessings!
We had a nice hill to cruise down, drag cart up and get some speed. Right next to open veld to get out and enjoy when the cart entertainment wore off.
Those were the days very few cars on the roads and children could play outdoors without a worry in the world.
Such great times that we all had my friend. Such fond and sometimes painful memories hahaha
Blessings!
