I work and live in Taiwan, an island roughly 200 km away from mainland China, yet the number of confirmed cases is just 235 as of today and only 2 deaths so far. Looks like our initial strategy of not exporting our medical masks was a wise choice, along with our strict quarantine measures, we are able to keep the virus under control, hopefully it stays that way.
The building where I work also has strict entry policies such with temperature readings and mandatory medical face masks. I also try to avoid touching anything while riding public transportation or in common areas.
Is work continuing as normal in Taiwan then? In the UK we've been told to stay indoors for three weeks, so only essential workers are going to work.
Yeah, work is normal, we've had prolonged school closures and enforced quarantine of people from infected countries.
Hope you guys are keeping safe and well!
You too!
Hey @shieha, you guys are doing a fantastic job keeping the infection from spreading! Stay healthy.
Thanks, apparently someone was taken away from our community today for breaking quarantine rules...
