It was several weeks ago when I dropped by Bongjeong-sa temple.
Bongjeong-sa temple was listed by the UNESCO this year.
What I saw there was the season of Autumn.
They celebrated the Autumn leaves with the paper models.
It was uncertain they made the paper models for celebrating the Autumn leaves, but the colors of the paper models suited the Autumn leaves.
There were lots of various models along the road to the temple.
Before introducing other things. I’d like to show you those paper models first.
Let's look up more in detail each models.
Various animals and the lanterns were hung.
In my guess, the reason the animal models were hung was to show the teachings of Buddha are reaching even to the animals in the Mountain and the Sea.
Anyway, it was so beautiful.
I liked the hanging objects.
Very beautiful photos.... I love it...my dear friend @slowwalker .....💞💕

Many thanks for the visit to my page!
That is a great to have a support from UNESCO, we see one and off their label on some heritage here in UK, many countries are quite poor and can't maintain the historical buildings but with their support they are in good condition. Seeing that colorful animals, lantern I remember myself when my son needed for his school and we spend the whole weekend creating one, he was very excited about the result because could do himself most of it too.
Wonderful photos and I do like your interpretation of why those paper animals are there.
Beautiful photos!
I like the watermelon lantern a lot. Would be interesting to try and make my own.
