I can relate to that! Does it expensive to keep it all up to date not to mention a RAID server and buying glass! I got a Falcon Mach V a few years ago - got it at 48gb of ram which is barely enough to do some of my timelapse rendering. So far, mobo died once and the liquid cooler for the cpu died. Feels like a well maintained used car now.

Haha. I hear you. I can hardly even view my 4k video files let alone process/edit them. Forget about it. For years, I had a shiny new HP media server with four hard drives. Microsoft stopped supporting windows media server and the thing just died. I almost lost it all. Now it's just collecting dust. I saw some usb 3.0 external hard drive docking stations. Have you tried that? I think that might be my next move.
