Random photos from the second half of June

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

A few days ago, I did a kind of a photography catch-up post (Random photos from the first half of June), because even though I've still been taking pictures on an almost daily basis (something I've been doing for a few years now), I haven't done anything with them beyond downloading them off my camera. Since today is the last day of June, and it's absitively posolutely too hot to venture outside (currently 89F/32C but according to our local news station, the "real feel" is 96F/36C), I figured it would be a good time to go through all my shots from the second half of the month.

These were all taken (except where noted) in our Durham NH yard, using my trusty Nikon COOLPIX P610 , sometimes with my handy dandy tripod (Amazon affiliate links - thanks for the pennies if you click through and order something...LOL). I use the Auto Mode setting, sometimes adding a filler flash (something I've recently been experimenting with - never thought of it as being useful for outdoor photography, but it really is!).

Here they are, pretty much in the order I shot them. Hope you enjoy!

What a great idea for a post @traviyork. That's a lovely collection of photographs.

I think my favourite is the Lemon Clover one. 😊

Thanks so much, @gillianpearce! I actually took about a half dozen shots of the Lemon Clover, because I thought it looked so cool! 😊

Awesome random picks, rich photos and post, love these colors and the shots too :)

Appreciate the compliments, @adam-aj - thank you! 😊

Nice photos as usual. Congratulations on the diagnosis (like it's a prize or something). My treatment plan for you is 2 joints in the morning, 2 joints at lunch, 2 joints in the afternoon, and one joint before bedtime. I recommend a mid to high grade regular strain of marijuana over hydroponics as the hydro tends to wear off faster and is not cost effective. It seems like a lot of weed but it helps drastically with the pain. Further, get off of all serotonin reuptake inhibitors and any other psychotropics, they are not helping. Stick with teas, herbals, and other naturals, today's medicine is not necessarily good for you and is designed more to make you dependent than cured.
Love,ya.
Pray, believe, praise...

Considering how long I've been trying to get to the bottom of why my body's going haywire, it actually feels like a prize, Steven! LOL!

Thanks so much for the treatment plan, and it's something I definitely plan to do if I can get a MM card (since it's not legal otherwise where I live). I have an appointment with a pain management place in a week or so, but I'm not sure yet if that's going to be on the table. In the meantime, I'm doing fairly well with CBD oil (vape and liquid drops) and Kratom. Totally hear you on the SSRIs - the docs have given me at least a half dozen different prescriptions, to see if they would help, but I haven't taken any of them. I've been off my Zoloft since March, and I'm just finally feeling like it's leaving my system, so I have no desire to go back to square one. Sending love right back atcha! 💜

I love the crow cut-outs, buttlerfly, vulture, and hawk the best! We had a monarch butterfly that would not leave our sight while out boating today!

Thanks, @papacrusher! And that's wicked cool!

Wow that hawk looks amazing, like he is just chilling and hanging around 💚

He actually was, @zen-art! I noticed him when I stepped outside, and he stayed long enough for me to get my hubby and my camera (not necessarily in that order...lol), then watched me as I took a bunch of shots. I love when Mother Nature spoils me like that! 💜

@traciyork very nice captured. stay safe and have a nice day

Thank you, @moneycom. You as well.

What a lovely collection of pictures! All those flowers 😍

We're totally spoiled by our landlady, @tripswithtam - she does all the gardening, and we do all the enjoying! And thank!

Really like the hawk picture, it is looking majestic and was a nice capture as were the rest of the pictures.

Thank you so much, @thegoliath! 😊

Beautiful, @traciyork. So interesting to see plants that grow here that are considered weeds - like the clover. BTW, did you know, 2 things about day lilies - they're indigenous to my part of the world, i.e. South Africa and that they are also edible?

I knew daylilies were edible, but not that they originated in your neck of the woods - coolness! And the clover is considered a weed here too - only reason it's growing so well right now is that our landlord is stretching out the time between mowings, because of a heatwave. And thank you, @fionasfavourites!

Awesome pictures. I love how you wre able to catch the butterfly sitting on the flower... so beautiful!

Thanks, @simplymike! The butterfly was kind enough to hang out for a handful of shots - I have another one I plan to share another time soon. 😊

They're always too fast for me, lol.

Our landlady spoils them with awesome flowers, so I get to reap the benefits... LOL!

Nice pictures and pretty butterfly ;)
