Definitely gives us something to think about.
If we break it down to the absolute basics of purpose, we are here to interact with the universe and organisms within it. When we are acting as part of a team, that is the evolution of that concept and makes sense.
On our own, we are limited to our own perspective, predispositions and mindset. The only way to really progress and grow is by luck or big mistakes that force us to change. On a team, we are pushed to perform and cooperate to fulfill different roles and add up to greater than the sum of individuals.
So, not knowing how to follow would make us not able to lead effectively, having not become good at following or knowing what it is like.
Like it or not, humans are a bit of a wildcard and agent of chaos. It is that randomness and unexpected anomaly that can frustrate or push a team to that next level of achievement.
So, being a part of that team as a follower is to know a role, be able to push and be pushed to compete and improve, then the emergence happens…not necessarily individually.
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
Thank you for your well written reply.
Because mankind posseses volition...he will always be as you said a bit of a wildcard. His choices make him who he is....a person of honour or dishonour.
For Bleujay... The factor cannot be luck as God is definitely a factor...thus Good decisions made from a position of strength bring success and Bad decisions from a position of weakness bring failure.
Otherwise your reply is spot on.
This line from your comment: 'So, being a part of that team as a follower is to know a role, be able to push and be pushed to compete and improve, then the emergence happens…not necessarily individually.'
True...many times in the case of teamwork...a certain individual does stand out as exemplary and leads the team to victory whether he is said leader or not.
So appreciate you dropping by and bringing dialogue to the table with regard to this principle.
Cheers!....on the house. ^__^
Kind Regards, Bleujay
