My dad was in Pleiku. He is retired Air Force. I don't know much more because he doesn't talk about it a lot. I bet he ate some monkey too. He likes food. I just got him out of the hospital yesterday. He had a quadruple bypass 15 years ago and just went through his first round of chest pains. Not bad, I'd say.

I'll say a prayer for him! I never saw Air Force there... There was 4th Inf, SF and they opened (I think in 68) a Psy Ops unit. When I was there there wasn't an airfield, only an LZ for the choppers... But I imagine when they opened the PsyOps center they would need one.

I don't even know what years he was there. If I had to guess, I would say late 60's maybe, but I really have no idea.

I'm pretty sure that by 68 they probably had an airstrip... I was there in 65 and it was a mudhole with a LZ!
